"The Charleston" is spacious with at least 4 complete bedrooms & 4 bathrooms. It is located in historic Newark. This gem is warm, inviting and less than 12 miles from NYC, EWR, and major highways. Comfort and luxury awaits every guests! The Charleston: Our home is over 3000+ sq ft of comfortable and luxurious living space. It is currently configured as a 4 bedroom home with lots of additional space to unwind and enjoy quality time with family and friends. Lots of old charm with just enough of a modern touch. The living room is grand, basement finished, kitchen and bathrooms (4) updated. The house is cooled in the summer with central AC and toasty in the winter by central heat, as well as, a wood-burning fireplace. Main Level: The living room is cozy with lots of seating space to unwind in front of the TV or enjoy the wood burning fireplace. The house has huge windows that allow plenty of sunlight. The dining room is welcoming and perfect for entertaining. The room set officially accommodates 6 people but feel free to grab spare chairs from other rooms in the house. The kitchen has everything you need while away from home and boasts stainless steel appliances with granite counter tops. Kitchenware is available for your use. 2nd Floor: The master bedroom is home of a comfortable king size bed and ample closet space. The master bathroom has a jet tub and beautiful marble glass shower. All linen and towels are provided with complimentary toiletries (if needed). The 2nd bedroom holds a beautiful queen poster bed and glows in the sunshine. The 3rd bedroom is complete with a beautiful poster bed. The 4th bedroom has another queen size poster bed and is perfect for anyone needing to rest comfortably and unwind. The bathroom on the 2nd level is complete with tub and shower with complimentary toiletries (if needed). 3rd Floor There is additional and comfortable, resting space on the 3rd floor of the home (if needed). Currently, the bedrooms are accommodated with air beds allowing for a 5th bedroom. Note: Additional guest fee will be assessed for any adult guests over the suggested comfortable capacity of 10 adults. Basement: The basement is always cool and is a great place to unwind. It can serve as a playroom, den, man-cave, or just a nice, quiet place to sneak away. It has a flat screen tv. The basement can also be used for resting and includes a bathroom with stand-up shower. Backyard The outside is perfect for entertaining or just relaxing. There is a deck outside with patio furniture, as well as, a gas grill and fire pit. The residence also features a screened sun porch which can serve as a place to relax. Parking: Sufficient OFF-street parking is available, as the driveway can accommodate up to 4 cars. Guests will have access to entire house inside and outside EXCLUDING 3rd floor - 1 bedroom, storage room, and the garage. I prefer to check-in daily with the guests to ensure all expectations are not only met but exceeded! However, guest preferences on host interaction is what will be accommodated. Our neighbors make the neighborhood! The neighborhood is very historic and filled with old charm! Most of the homes have been owned by families for generations. There are several public transportation options into NYC. The train station is about 10-12 minutes from the home driving to Penn Station. The trains (PATH or NJTransit) take you from NJ into NYC. These trains originate in NJ and transports customers daily to/from NY. PATH trains are about $6 round trip per person. NJTransit trains are $10 round trip per person. The PATH trains are more reliable and run every 5-10 minutes while the NJTransit trains run on a schedule. Both trains take approximately 18-22 minutes to commute into NYC from Newark. From the house, you can walk over to the Newark Light Rail Train for a ride to Newark Penn Station. You can also take an Uber ride or taxi to Newark Penn station. Cab and Uber rides vary from $8 - $12. Once in NY, the NYC subway can take you all over the city. The subway is the fastest way to get around NYC. LOCATION!! LOCATION!!! Enjoy the beauty of NYC, hang out locally in revitalized Downtown Newark or Ironbound section, or take a day trip to Philadelphia (approx 75 miles away)! Love to SHOP!!!! Again, NYC is less than 20 minutes away (assuming no traffic or major construction)! Nonetheless, there is plenty of shopping in northern NJ in surrounding towns! There is outlet shopping at its best with Jersey Gardens Outlet Mall, Outlets at Jersey Town Center, and Woodbury Commons.
