Description
This Woods Hole bedroom and adjacent bathroom are one flight up from the entry door. Morning light thru three windows that open and have room-darkening drapes. WiFi, a fan, a desk--no A/C or TV. I have preferred to host women, but usually accept bookings from men who say why they're visiting. One street parking space. I meet people for check-in, and guests come and go using keypad entry after that. Check-in and check-out times apply to cars as well as to people. Review photos and read on. The space House is less than one mile from buses, ferry, bike path, restaurants and science institutions. Owner lives on-site and can usually be reached if needed. Enter on ground floor to a shared space with a mini-fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. Up one flight to this room. There's an electric kettle outside the room. One photo shows a carpeted lounge area with some exercise balls and bands, which people may use. Host's private spaces are separate and clearly marked. Guests are welcome to use a small deck outside that's surrounded by greenery and wildlife, especially birds. It's a quiet neighborhood with many walkers and bikers. The character of Woods Hole varies seasonally, as do prices for short-term rental stays. Again, check-in and check-out times apply to cars and people. No pets or overnight guests. Guest access Guests are welcome to the spaces described and shown in photos as well as a small outdoor space. Host's private spaces are separate and clearly marked. Location is picturesque and convenient to beaches, transportation, coffee shops and restaurants. Hours vary seasonally as do lodging prices. House is near one end of an eleven-mile bike path, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) aka University of Chicago and NOAA. People with cars who will be on Martha's Vineyard outside of their reserved time can use Falmouth parking lots and the free shuttle service offered by the Steamship Authority. Yes: Uber, Lyft, taxis, food delivery. During your stay I meet guests for their first check-in. I come and go from my seaside studio less than a mile away. I'm usually reachable by phone, text, and email. Other things to note Taxes are for Massachusetts state, Cape Cod wastewater, and Falmouth town tax. Although I've listed a two-week maximum stay, you can send me a message about longer stays. A great staycation and an accommodating retreat spot. October through March, prices are lower, and minimum stays are negotiable, especially for guests who have had past stays in this house. I do not host outside of Airbnb.
