People with cars who will be on the Vineyard outside of their reserved time can use Falmouth parking lots and free shuttle service offered by Steamship Authority. I won't boast of ocean views but you can see the light sparkle on and above the water as it influences sunrises and in winter when trees are bare. The neighborhood has a variety of old and new homes. You'll see kids playing and neighbors outside coming and going. A few dogs in the area are usually on-leash. Seasonally, there are signs of wild turkeys, chipmunks, rabbits and a few coyotes. There are sidewalks on the main road between the village and this listing. You'll see people walking and biking year-round. Guests have one parking space (per room) at the house and checkout applies to cars as well as people (no exceptions). Buses, ferries and bikes all come and go from Woods Hole village. For people visiting Martha's Vineyard (who won't take cars on the ferry), there's a shuttle bus between the ferry to larger parking lots in Falmouth. There's an eleven-mile bike path with one end in Woods Hole. Around the corner is a shuttle bus to WHOI's Clark Campus and bike rentals are available in Falmouth. Uber, Lyft and taxis service the area. Taxes are for Massachusetts state, Cape Cod wastewater, and Falmouth town tax.
