Heavenly Hakalau is a detached, private guesthouse. It is located on a 2 acre property with the owner's primary residence. COMMUNICATION AND SUPPORT The owners live on-site and will be available to answer any questions and quickly address issues that may occur. Upon booking, the owners' contact information will be provided. Due to the rural location, mobile phone service may be spotty. (Verizon works well. T-Mobile is hit/miss. ATT is not good.) However, WiFi calling works well. Located near Hakalau on the Hamakua Coast, this home offers the best of rural Hawaii living on a quiet, gated cliff-side estate. Within a fifteen minute drive, you’ll find Akaka Falls, Zip Lines and Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden. Hilo is just 20 minutes away (16 miles) offering dining, shopping, museums, and other attractions. A farmers market and numerous gift shops are located in the historic downtown area of this charming bay-side town. A rental car will be necessary on the Big Island.
