Imaloa Astronomy Center, University of Hawaii, our Rain Forest Zoo, and Mauna Loa Mac Nut Farm barely two miles down the road. Home centrally located from other Hilo main attraction site: Hawaii Volcano National Park 30 minutes away, Mauna Kea 45 minutes away, and Hilo's numerous Botanical Gardens, Water Falls such as Rainbow Fall, Akaka Fall and State Park, and Park Beaches for swimming and sunbathing all easily accessible from this location by car. Tea, coffee,our Hilo farmer's market tropical fruits are all accessible to guests in the kitchen for their enjoyment at no extra costs. Would be adding multi grain bread and spreads to make it convenient for guests so no one goes out hungry in the morning (for those that haven't have a change to get to the grocery store.) Everyone cleans up after themselves. Just to be clear, this is my home which I live in that I'm happily sharing. Practically the whole house. Guests privacy respected but also happy meeting/ sharing and getting to know people from different parts of the country and the world. Sharing conversations and experiences over breakfast is a highlight of my days hosting guests from every corner of the world. It is a safe and quite neighborhood, close to the golf course. The house is situated on a flag lot which offset it from the road but still very conveniently close to Hilo amenities. It is situated on the bus route but renting a car is the ideal way to get around the Big Island.
