We live in a terraced house in a reasonably quiet neighbourhood in a conservation area with many local shops, a variety of continental restaurants and amenities nearby and 3 minutes walk from the bus stop which takes 4 minutes to Turnpike Lane or Wood Green tube stations on the Piccadilly line which are shopping areas. The journey to Piccadilly Circus is around 20 minutes. The Piccadilly line is frequent and trains run about every 2/3 minutes. The 29 bus is a night bus running from Trafalgar Square to Wood Green every 8 minutes throughout the night. Wood Green Shopping City is a very popular area attracting people from far to shop. I live with my son who is 35 and we are often a host family to students from around the world. I work from home so am home most of the time. The single room available has access to very fast wireless internet , Kitchen Access where there is a washing machine, dryer, oven, hob, toaster, cupboard space etc, Central Heating, bedding and double glazed windows. Please note: if you have a problem with snoring do not book the room, as I have had a guest keeping another guest up due to loud snoring. Guest access Kitchen with all its utensils, crockery etc, bathroom, living room, iron and ironing board and hair dryer During your stay I like all my guests to feel like one of the family and be totally relaxed during their stay, as I know staying in a different country or location of the country can sometimes take time to adjust. I always take an interest in my guests to make sure they are comfortable in the room and if they need anything like an extra bed cover, and to advise them of the best method of transport to use, and where they can buy oyster cards and direct them to the cheapest supermarkets nearby. This is very important for guests to know where to buy basics. I always contact guests beforehand to find out the approximate time of their arrival and telephone number and which airport they will be arriving at, so I can direct them as accurately as possible to my house. Other things to note Its possible there may be another guest in the house, so its nice to know approximately what time they need the bathroom in the morning so I can liaise with the other guest. Also if you have a problem with snoring please do not book the room as it disturbs others in the house
