Historic Uptown Living

Welcome to the Mercury House. We are located in Butte's beautiful Uptown Historic District, which is walkable to many shops, bars, breweries, and restaurants. The space Although adjacent to uptown, the space is peaceful. High ceilings give a spacious feel, and a new boiler and well-distributed radiators keep the space warm and cozy in the winter. There are lots of light filters in the numerous windows through the large trees on the property, and there is a quiet space in the back for relaxing. For uptown events and amenities, we are two blocks from Montana's best distillery, the historic Motherlode Theatre, and walking distance to the hip Hummingbird Cafe, Safron, and locally owned Taco de Sol. Our uptown bike shop is unrivaled in service and supply. Guest access The entire first floor is yours!! We are sometimes around the upstairs apartment, but we are very quiet. Other things to note We have extensive recreational opportunities: Continental Divide hiking and mountain biking, incredible cross-country skiing on volunteer-groomed trails (Moulton Reservoir and Hagan ski areas), professional grooming at our local cross-country ski area, Homestake Lodge, and our backyard downhill ski area, Discovery (known to locals as "Disco"). Guests will be provided maps to trailheads and contact numbers. There is also rafting and World-Class trout fishing on the Big Hole River.
