Our home is located in Upper Montclair, with easy walking access to Upper Montclair and Watchung Plaza shopping and eating areas. We are also very close to two beautiful parks and playgrounds. There are train and bus connections into NYC. At the end of our street is the train line with trains passing quickly by but the trains do not operate overnight or during the weekends. The Garden State Parkway and highways into NYC and the American Dream Mall are about a 10-minute drive away. There is so much to do in Montclair, including fabulous restaurants, cafes, and cute shops too. The town has everything you need from banks, dry cleaners, bookshops, movie theaters, take-out restaurants, diners, bakeries, bars and playgrounds, and beautiful parks. There are also supermarkets, including Whole Foods, Acme, King's, Trader Joe's, and ShopRite a few minutes' drive away. Montclair is very family-friendly. The Montclair Art Museum is world-renowned. We also have a Farmer's Market every Saturday with farmers from all over the state. Montclair is well known for its Jazz, Art, Food & Wine, and Film festivals. It's a very friendly and diverse community with people of all ages and from all over the world. Come and stay, and you will love Montclair too! Trains to NYC, Hoboken and Newark just a few minutes' walk away. NYC train takes about 35-40 minutes. (Just so you know, the train only runs from the Montclair Bay St station on Saturdays and Sundays and does not operate overnight). Bus number 66 to NYC a few minutes walk away. Bus takes approx 30 minutes to Port Authority, NYC. Decamp buses operate every day. Bus number 28 to Montclair State University and to downtown Montclair just around the corner from the house. Driving around town is easy and we are 10 minutes to the NJ Turnpike, the Garden State Parkway, Route 80 and 46 and Route 3, taking you into NYC. This is a two-family home with our family living above the rental unit. We are quiet and respectful of our guests. We are very family-friendly and speak English, German & Spanish. The train to NYC passes quickly at the end of the street on an elevated bridge which you can hear every 20-30 minutes Monday-Friday but not overnight or at the weekends. PARKING: Please use the off-street parking overnight. Any cars parked on the street overnight might get a ticket from the Montclair police. We have two parking spots for guests in our parking area (we just have one car). During the daytime, street parking is free with no time limits.
