Mike's Lake House

A spacious waterfront retreat, ideal for writers and people who want to get away to enjoy nature, solitude, or each other. Perfect for winter, spring, summer and fall rest and recreation. Read a book, play a game, do a puzzle, watch the great blue heron, ducks and bald eagles. Maybe a turtle or otter will swim by. Go out on the water or just sit next to it. Do you fish? Lake is stocked. Private dock and lake access out the back door. Closer to the highway than it seems. The space A cabin with character rather than a pristine house. Country living means occasional evidence of mice and deer heads on the walls. Furniture is rustic. We ask that guests be mindful of water use and respectful of peace and quiet. Please no rubber worms for fishing- they are toxic to lake life. Unexpected level changes and stairs. The primary bedroom with private bath and laundry is upstairs- this bed is made up for guests. Let us know if you will need the additional bed downstairs. No smoking on the property- Fireplace and pellet stove are not for use by guests. Sorry. Guest access Guests have the entire house, private dock, parking, kayaks and paddle boat. Fully equipped kitchen. Gas grill outside. Water access at own risk- no lifeguard on duty. No diving off dock as the water is shallow there. Other things to note House is on a dirt road that can be muddy or icy. Well water and septic system. No fires please.
