My husband, Joe, retired in 2018 from his job of 30 yrs. I retired in Jan 2020 (right before Covid19) from owning/operating a large childcare facility for 22 yrs. We raised our 5 children in this beautiful home. We love to share our gift of hospitality when we have the opportunity. Dayton is a short drive to Carson City, Virginia City, Lake Tahoe, Reno. It is perfect for long/short term business, family, leisure trips, or anyone just looking for a comfortable place to stay between destinations. Our large guest suite is 720 sq ft. It has all the comforts of home and set up for maximum convenience and relaxation. There is a king size bed and a pull out queen size sofa sleeper. Also a kitchenette for adequate meal preparation. Included in the room are a few light breakfast items. There is a fenced outside sitting area with table and chairs. We even have a mini propane table top grill. The suite also has a large walk in closet for storage and hanging clothes. Finally, the suite has its own thermostat for maximum comfort. Access to our guest suite is private and from the back of our house. Parking is to the left side of the driveway and off the street. There is a keypad entry for privacy. Guests can not enter the main house from this suite. We try to greet our guests in person or reach out via text shortly after arrival to answer any questions about the suite. We will be wearing masks and no contact to comply with the latest AirBnB guidelines for reducing Covid19. There are notes around the room with things you might want to know about your suite (where remotes are, what else is in the room) Feel free to ask if you can’t find something. We would love to advise you on things to do in the surrounding areas. (Please check out our Guidebook in the AirBnB App for numerous suggestions) There are also a number of pamphlets provided for sightseeing ideas. We would love you to sign our guest book and even add a pin to where you are from on our map. Other than that we prefer to give you your privacy! Dayton is a one stop light town. We live in a quiet, peaceful one street neighborhood off of Dayton Valley Road. The Dayton Valley Golf Course neighborhood is right across the street from our place. Sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous right out our backyard view. Stars are easily visible and almost guaranteed to see a shooting star or two. You can also see the glow of lights from Virginia City and Reno. In quiet Dayton, the access is only Highway 50 to/from Carson City. There are easy on/off ramps from Hwy 50 to Highway 580/395 to Gardnerville and Reno. There is easy access to USA Parkway off Hwy 50 to get to the gigafactory Tesla (near Reno) and many other industrial facilities. Located across from the Award Winning Arnold Palmer designed Dayton Valley Golf Course. As a bonus, we even have a mini putting green for fun.
