Guest suite in New Orleans
Description
Circa 1834 brick row house with a ground floor suite with newly renovated full bathroom, small kitchen. It has a private street entrance and courtyard access. We are two blocks from the Convention Center. Please note we are not on a quiet corner in the Crescent city, during working weekdays it’s busy. Nights and weekends however are restful and relaxing. If any city noise is an issue for you though we suggest staying somewhere else. The space The Courtyard Suite has been recently restored and renovated with all new contemporary fixtures and appliances. Our restoration and renovation included reworking the mechanical and energy systems. The new bathroom and kitchen both have new energy and water saving appliances. Principal in our effort was to rethink the HVAC system. We have a Mitsubishi ductless mini split ac/heater that replaces an outdated central system without compromising seasonal comfort. It operates on a fraction of the energy. Remote controlled ceiling fans assist in the comfort of the spaces. The kitchen is furnished with everything you'll need for your stay. The bedroom comes with a new mattress, linens, pillows and towels. Seasonal dress includes a mosquito net for the bed. The restoration included exposing the beautiful cypress beams and brick work that are the building's structural materials. In contrast, custom paneling, glass corner transoms, 10' ceilings create a truly unique setting of comfort and style. We take pride in our home and make sure all our rooms are clean, safe and comfortable. Guest access Courtyard access is made through the suite's french doors. They do have a privacy lock. Our courtyard is our common space that is shared with our Balcony suite only. We have 3 separate seating areas in the courtyard for our guests if they wish to relax with a glass of wine in the evening or enjoy their coffee or tea in the morning. In March 2020 we renovated and updated the courtyard space to provide guests more space for comfortable compliance of social distancing protocols. Other things to note We share this historic block with our neighbor at 510 Race St. Race & Religious, is a popular wedding venue that does book some lively celebrations. Midnight is the expected curtain call for live and recorded music. If you plan to go to bed early on the weekends, in New Orleans, we may not be a good fit. Registration Details 24-XSTR-03465
