Aloha! Welcome to one of the best locations on the island! We are a legal and licensed vacation rental with the County of Maui. Located just under half a mile (or 5 minute walk) from the beach, surfing, park, restaurants, shops and stores. Our private 1 bedroom 1 bathroom cottage offers complete relaxation for the perfect Maui vacation. There is air conditioning in both the bedroom and living space of the cottage. The space Our beautiful cottage is a great choice when looking for a place in Kihei! This is a private detached cottage and it features: - Modern kitchen with updated cabinets and granite counter tops - Stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher - New floors installed in 2025 - 1 large bedroom with a high quality king size bed - Shared outdoor covered laundry with washer and dryer - Upgraded split air condition units located in BOTH the living room and bedroom (previously only A/C in the living room as commented by past guests) - Updated bathroom. The shower and toilet area is quite small. Please consider this if you have mobility issues before booking. To further clarify there is not a lot of space in front of the toilet so your knees may touch the wall while sitting. Also the shower is relatively small with a low shower head. We are a 5 minute walk to Kalama Park and "The Cove", the best surf spot on the south side of the island! Beach gear includes: -Tommy Bahama reclining beach chairs and umbrella - Beach towels Other things to note We are a legal vacation rental with the County of Maui. There are many illegal listings on the island that can cause issues for vacation renters. Our nightly rate includes all taxes that are required to be collected by the state of Hawaii. It is mandatory for us to collect the Hawaii state tax (GE Tax) of 4.16% and the Transient Accommodations Tax (TAT) of 10.25% plus Maui County Tax of 3%. This is included in your nightly rental amount. Also please note there are a few steps in the home. There is one small step up into the home, one step from the living area to kitchen and two steps up from the bathroom sink to the toilet and shower. The toilet and shower area are a small space.
