The Plum Island Shanty-Walk to the beach!

Welcome to our home on Plum Island! New to us in June of 2021! Booked up for July, dates in August still available! Saturday or Sunday check-in only, 7 night minimum. Minimum of two excellent reviews from previous hosts required to book our cottage. Lovingly named the "Plum Shanty," our cottage was originally built in 1940 as a 350 square foot little fishing shack! 5 minute walk to the closest beach access. We absolutely love hosting, and sharing our dream come true with you! The space All beds are made and ready for guests with freshly laundered sheets. Fresh bath & beach towels for each registered guest, as well as extra Turkish towels on the blanket ladder in the living room. An extra set of queen sheets (fits on all three beds in the shanty), and extra blankets are available during your stay. We do not provide a mid-stay cleaning service or linen change. Instead, we have cleaning supplies and laundry supplies for you to use during your stay with us. We also launder our throw pillow covers and sofa cushion covers in-between renters (all are removable)! Paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, dish soap, a new sponge, dish towels, and a dish drying mat to get you started. Enjoy our awesome outdoor shower! It's our favorite feature! Unlike some of the other rentals on Plum Island, this is our home for most of the year! We rent it for only two months every summer, and absolutely love sharing our slice of heaven with guests! Our guests have loved how well taken care of our home is, and we make it a point to constantly make improvements and updates! So, we just ask that you will treat our home as it was your own while staying with us! Several of our past experiences with vacation homes is what motivated us to rent out our cottage. Many a times we have checked-in and had to deal with a home that has broken or missing essentials, wasn't as clean as we'd like, etc...and it was not a great way to unwind and relax while on vacation! So, we make it a point to do all we can to make sure you arrive you have everything you need, and that necessary repairs are taken care of. Guests will have access to a washer/dryer, and driveway parking for 4 cars. Access to the beach shed in our front side yard (to the right of the cottage). Private 5G Wi-Fi.
