My place is good for couples, business travelers, and families (with kids). The space Ala Muku, Hawaiian for "rainbow fragment" is a slice of paradise which offers you and your family and friends a relaxed, comfortable home base to enjoy and explore the beauty, activities, and natural wonders of Kauai. Located at the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet residential neighborhood, this home is about a half mile to Poipu Beach Park and Brennecke Beach Accommodations Surrounded by lush tropical foliage, Ala Muku is a beautifully appointed 2,500 sq. ft. home with festive island décor to enhance your stay in paradise. Relax and socialize in the many indoor and outdoor spaces. On the western front porch the palm fronds rustle in the gentle breeze of the Pacific trade winds. The plush sofas in the living room invite a nap or an opportunity to be entertained with music, TV with free Netflix movie streaming, or DVD. All your culinary needs can be met in the cook's kitchen with its abundant counter space, up-to-date appliances and utensils. The dining room has an atrium-like ambiance plus additional dining for 2 in the kitchen nook. The front deck has comfortable outdoor dining and BBQ set-up. The garden setting is private, peaceful and exotic. This Kauai home offers: A perfect setup for multi-generational a family reunion. Mala Pua- the "garden" master suite is on the main level with a king bed and daybed, TV and DVD player. The spacious bathroom with a walk-in tiled shower offers lush garden views. Kumulani- (base of sky) is the vaulted upstairs master suite that captures majestic mountain views. It features a king bed, TV and DVD player, bath with tiled shower. The Hula Room features a double bed with a whimsical hula décor theme. The Blue Room is equipped with 3 twin beds. Two can be converted into a king size bed to meet your needs. To accommodate younger children we have baby gates. Turn on your laptop anywhere on the property and enjoy high-speed wireless internet access. We now feature unlimited movie streaming from our Netflix account over the TV. Choose your favorite movie and settle down to watch uninterrupted viewing. The garage is equipped with laundry facilities, and beach gear. Pack up the beach equipment including mats, chairs, cooler, sand toys and have a great day at the beach. Poipu Beach Park offers a large grassy area dotted with swaying coco palms. There are picnic tables, play equipment, showers, restrooms, even a convenience store and restaurant across the street. Guest access The home is separate from any other accommodations. In the garage is a laundry area that is shared with the owners. Other things to note Smoking is not permitted on this property. There is a park nearby if people must smoke. Please observe quiet hours between 9:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Loud talking and music after 9:00 PM is discourteous to our neighbors. GUESTS WILL BE REQUESTED TO FILL OUT A RENTAL AGREEMENT LISTING THE NAMES OF ALL STAYING AT THE HOME. PLEASE NOTE, WE CONSIDER ALL GUESTS IN THE COUNT- EVEN BABIES. The quote you receive from Airbnb includes the required Hawaii state taxes (GE & TAT). These taxes will be delineated on the Rental Agreement which Ala Muku Vacation Rentals will send to you upon your acceptance of the booking. Extended stays may require an additional charge for a mid-stay clean. Our holiday season extends from Dec. 17- Jan. 6 with a one week minimum stay (2 week minimum if the stay includes both holidays). We divide the season into two periods with some flexibility on dates and length of stay. For the first week (Christmas) we ask our guests to arrange their departure date to fall between Dec. 26 and Dec. 27.
