Enjoy your privacy in our fully appointed 800 sq ft Cottage-guest suite! You have shared access to our large 4 acre backyard with fire pit. We are located in the middle of it all -just south of Center Lake, very close to fishing, hunting and boating access. Check us out and let us provide you with very comfortable accommodations! We offer many extras to make your spring vacation even more fun. This backyard space is shared with our year round private home. We provide Continental breakfast foods in the fridge that you can prepare when the need arises, in the fully equipped kitchen-if you cannot find something PLEASE ASK!! Fishing is available in the backyard pond or just across the street in Center Lake. Fishing rods and tackle are also supplied upon request. Please enjoy the shared backyard. Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck or down the steps on the lower patio. On those cooler Iowa evenings enjoy the fire pit just down the deck stairs behind the cedar tree-wood and chairs are provided for your convenience. We also provide a guestbook with eating out suggestions and brochures of other activities available in the area. We know you will love our Cottage on the Pond, while making memories that last a lifetime. You have full access to the complete one bedroom cottage with 1 queen size bed and 1 queen sleeper sofa. The kitchen is stocked with utensils and supplies. Please look in all cabinets for what you may need. If you don’t see something-just ask and we will provide. A variety of Continental breakfast foods are provided. Free parking is available in our driveway with your own private entrance through the garage. The Cottage is connected to our private home, but the doorway to the main house is locked for privacy of ourselves and our guests. You may hear some activity from our home, but we keep as quiet as possible. If you need to use our laundry facilities, that can be arranged with prior notice, and a small fee. The Cottage is connected to our private home where we live 12 months out of the year. Occasionally you may hear some activity from our home, but we keep as quiet as possible. We are on the premises most of the time, if a need arises. We do respect your vacation privacy and will only interact as you need. If we are traveling, we will make prior arrangements for your entrance to the Cottage. We will also provide directions to any of the area hot spots to which you may want to venture. THIS Airbnb is NOT A HOTEL! NO MAID SERVICE is provided. We clean meticulously before your arrival-but provide no cleaning during your stay. The space is yours to enjoy, and treat with care. We provide: -Bathroom:Towels/Wash clothes/Hand towels/hair dryer/shampoo/conditioner/shower gel/toothpaste(in case you forgot) -Kitchen: All necessary utensils and dishes are provided for meal preparation, if you so desire. If you can’t find something-please ask. Breakfast foods are available for you to prepare and consume at your leisure/Dishwasher detergent,dish soap/trash bags. -We do ask that you read our guest book and leave the Cottage as we ask-so we can prepare for our next guests. Our neighborhood is a very quiet family environment that we ask you to respect. We do not allow parties or events while on our premises. We are located right on the bike trail-so please consider bringing your bike or renting one at our local Okoboji Expedition Company, located just 5 minutes South on Hi 71. Please plan to park in our large driveway-in front of the small garage. We provide a code for your entrance through our garage. A basketball hoop is also available for shooting a few hoops with our provided basketballs-we do ask that you return the balls to their garage home everyday after use. Boji Rides is our public transportation, if you decide you would like a night on the town with no driving. Arnold's Park Amusement Park is just a quick 10 minute drive straight South on Hi 71. There you will find many shops, restaurants, Arnold's Perk Coffee shop, Tropical Snow, and many other fun attractions in the Arnold's Park area. The amusement park is open all summer. You are welcome to use our lawn chairs located in the closet in the bedroom to take down to the fire pit, but please remember to return them every night.
