Description
In the Kona Coffee Belt, this is an 8-acre working coffee farm with several dwellings, including a rustic wooden coffee shack which is the primary space for guests. The space is light and airy, with art from around the world, musical instruments and friendly animals outdoors. We are tucked up a windy road above Kealakekua Bay and the Captain Cook Monument, near the best snorkeling/kayaking. The space This is a place for nature lovers and people who are interested in getting to see the life of a tropical farm. Accommodations are simple and comfortable. Depending on what's being harvested, breakfast may include fresh farm fruits (e.g. papayas, oranges, avocados, jaboticaba), free-range farm eggs, and our own farm coffee. There are roosters crowing from all the hillsides in the early hours, noisy frogs, a talkative parrot, and in the wet season a fair number of (mostly avoidable) bugs. We love to sit around the imu (fire pit) at night and share stories. In short, it is a place full of life which appeals to more adventurous travelers who are accustomed to (or want to experience) country living and wilder places. During your stay We are around most of the time (probably working on the farm during the day) and happy to help with advice on what to do and how to do it. We want you to enjoy your stay and love the Big Island of Hawai'i as much as we do. Registration Details 141-615-2064-01
