The Cottage at Whorf House

Once belonging to the renowned Provincetown artist, Nancy Whorf, we are honored to share our amazing home with you. We look forward to meeting you! All are welcome! BOH-22-353 The space Once one of Nancy's art studios, our cottage has been recently reconstructed to become a charming and elegant example of Provincetown's great artistic heritage. This is a completely private space that is attached adjacent to the main house. It has its own private entry with a second egress into the main house should you want a tour of Nancy's famed artwork, amazing folk art dollhouse, wish to do laundry or need anything at all from us. At no time during your stay would we nor anyone else have access to your cottage. We respect your privacy at all times. Upon entering the space through the perennial and herb gardens, you are first welcomed by a lovingly detailed entry room, complete with high coffered ceiling, antique chandelier, leaded glass bookcases, mahogany columns and oak pocket doors. Through the pocket doors is a completely new kitchen complete with many vintage touches. Antique leaded glass cabinets anchor a room detailed with a copper farmhouse sink and a fully functioning restored antique stove and refrigerator. The fully-equipped kitchen offers the modern convenience of a dishwasher built into the expertly crafted, handbuilt hardwood cabinetry. Beyond the columns and built-in bookcases you will find the sleeping area of the studio which features an exceptionally comfortable custom murphy bed, with high-end mattress and inset lighting. Located on either end of the murphy bed are two built-in dressers for your convinence. Just off of the sleeping area is an exceptionally spacious and airy bathroom, complete with an antique style clawfoot shower, a vintage farm sink and a decorative antique glass hanging over a window looking onto a flower bed. The total space is approximately 300sf, with high ceilings, plenty of windows and opens up to the shared patio garden which features plenty of seating. The combination of these many features gives this tiny house the feeling of a much grander space. The room features a brand new air conditioning unit that is controlled by you for your comfort.
