We have a reservation during the highest demand time of the year (Saturday, Dec. 21, to Saturday, Dec. 28) for a two-bedroom, ocean view condo that sleeps a max of six. Because it’s a timeshare, you get 7 nights, not 6 like a hotel. Wake up on Christmas morning to the crashing waves of the glorious blue Pacific ocean right outside your lanai. Sun on the beach, go snorkeling in the warm waters, or play a round of golf at one of the great courses nearby. Kauai is the perfect place to spend your winter holiday. (Note that the dates reserved are specific; however I am able to change the reservation to other dates if space is available. I welcome inquiries about other dates, but know that the asking price will remain the same.) Each 2-bedroom condo features a large master bedroom with a king-size bed, closet, dresser and flat-screen TV and a really beautiful, spacious en suite master bath with a soaking tub, separate shower, two sinks and the toilet in a little room. The second bedroom will have either a queen bed or two twin beds (we can often specify), and is next to a bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. The living room has a queen-size sleeper sofa. There is a hotel-type safe in the master bedroom that can accommodate a laptop, iPad, jewelry, cash, etc. Each unit has a full kitchen – perfect for making simple meals like breakfast and lunch – a small dining area and a wonderful lanai with a table and chairs and a recliner. All the units have A/C, ceiling fans, televisions, a stereo, WiFi, telephones and a washer and dryer. The condo can be on the first, second, third or fourth floor (requests for a specific floor or building or proximity to elevators can be made and are often granted, but are not guaranteed.) All suites are non-smoking. Pets are not permitted, with the exception of service animals. The resort grounds feature a very nice lagoon-style pool, a poolside bar/cafe, two jacuzzis, gas barbecues and free parking. The resort also has WiFi, a fitness center, a business center computer/internet and free local calls. Plus they offer a wide variety of free arts and crafts, cultural and recreational activities each weekday. Check in is after 4, and check out is by 10 am. And best of all, you don’t have to sit through a timeshare presentation! I will not have any interaction with the guests during their stay. There is a full resort staff on hand to assist with the guests. There's tons of activities on Kauai – hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, surfing, inner-tubing, golfing, tennis, horseback riding, ATVing, helicopter rides, sunset cruises, biking are all nearby. Plus there's lots of great restaurants and shopping in the Poipu area. It all depends on what you want to do. There is not much public transit. You really need to rent a car on Kauai to get to the resort, go out for dining and shopping and explore the beautiful "garden" isle. There is free parking at the resort with the pass provided at check-in. Prior to the Covid pandemic, you would get housekeeping service for one day during your stay. This was suspended for 2020-21, but may be reinstated. However, there is housekeeping after your stay, which means . . . No cleaning fee! The resort offers each guest a free beach towel that can exchange daily at the pool hut for a clean one.
