Our House Is Your Home Away From Home
Aloha! We are Keone and Yonnell Farias. We were both born and raised here on this wonderful island. We welcome you to our beautiful new home and would be happy to share with you our favorite places. Located in a quiet neighborhood of Waiakea Uka, we are a short 10 minute ride from the airport, 35 minutes to the Volcano, and just a few minutes from local grocery stores and eateries! A new home built four years ago. There are three bedrooms and two full baths. The Master Suite/Bathroom is separated by the living room and kitchen area. Garage is enclosed. There is a Front and Back yard. Please note, a portion of the back yard (behind the lawn chairs) is roped off and shared with the owners in order to access their fruit trees and chickens without having to interact with guest. Our house is your home away from home. We want you to feel at home during your stay. We also respect your privacy. The keypad entry allows you to come and go at your convenience. We live near by and are only a call or text away for any questions, suggestions, and housekeeping needs you may have. Waiākea Uka is translated "the mountain side" of Waiākea. There are beautiful views of both Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa mountain. The University of Hawaii at Hilo is located in the Waiākea district as well. There are parks and convenience stores with in walking distance to the house but a car would be more suitable Taxi service available, but renting a car is best. Hilo is a small, quaint town but we have everything you need for a fabulous vacation. Be sure to visit downtown Hilo... there are museums, galleries, ethnic restaurants, bars, the Farmers Market and lots of stores for your shopping needs. Besides local grocery stores, Hilo has a Target, Safeway, Walmart, and shopping plaza all located within walking distance of each other and just a few miles from our home. There is a Outdoor Gas BBQ Grill on property. To help keep the cleaning fee down & to be fair to guest who do not use the grill, there is an extra $25 charge to be left at check-out ONLY if the grill is used. Uhi Wai is legally permitted with the State and County of Hawaii.
