Escape to the Jungle, Visit Volcano Nat’l Park!
Come enjoy our vacation hideaway, only 3 miles from Hawaii Volcano National Park entrance. Soak in the champagne ponds in Kapoho, and the many climates of the big Island. Our 3 acre farm has a cabin and a remodeled bus. It runs on 5kW of solar power and batteries. We also have a generator for back up power, just in case. The bus and cabin both have a wood stove to keep you warm on cool nights. There is a full kitchen and bath with a washer and dryer. The bus is very fun for the kids. One of the great things about this property is that we are at 3500', the nights are cooler and not too humid like it can be down in Hilo and near the beaches. There are also way less coqui frogs than you will experience down in Hilo and Kapoho. You will have access to the cabin and the bus when staying with us. One of my favorite things is to wake up to the sunrise while laying in the bus and looking out over the jungle. You can always call me if you have any questions. I will be available for anything you might need. We have a copy of Big Island Revealed, and some local magazines with great suggestions for where to explore and what is going on around the island. Jungle Paradise, Secluded In The Trees And Flowers, Very Peaceful. There is plenty of hiking and things to see in and around the Volcano National Park. We don't have a lot of neighbors, and we are surrounded by jungle on all sides of the property. I have a Ford F-150 that can be made available for rent during your stay. Please inquire on availability when booking, if you are interested. The rental cars in HI can be very expensive and sometimes, not available at all. We like to offer a reasonable price for renting the vehicle while you stay with us. We have wifi, and Dish Satellite TV.
