The property here has plenty of beautiful plants and trees. There is no risk here from any of the active south island volcanoes. Enjoy this 3 bedroom home! The two ocean-view bedrooms with king beds, access the living room through either another bedroom or by the outside covered deck. *Our Sunrise Studio Airbnb is next door and the laundry area is shared for all residents and guests staying here. *Please note the house is in the "country", so there are a few more bugs in the area. We strive to keep the house very clean. This unique house has a huge kitchen and dining room, private lanai, plenty of yard space. This home has high ceilings and big windows with gorgeous views of the ocean and Hilo Bay. Located on the Hamakua Coast known for the refreshing breeze. We are located mauka (up mountain) from highway 19, and about a mile north of the developed Papaikou community. The immediate neighborhood is a beautiful, quiet, and rural place with horses, cows, and active agriculture operations. You can experience lush green mountainside, views of the ocean and sunrise, Mauna Kea, and stargazing at night. *10 Minutes to Hilo -It is recommended to rent a vehicle. House is around 5.5 miles to Wailuku River bridge in HIlo. It is a half mile walk to the main road (Hawaii Belt Road, Hwy 19) and there are periodic public buses you can take into town if needed. The road to the home (Puumoi) is a rough, broken asphalt and gravel drive. It does not require 4 wheel drive and low clearance vehicles are fine. The road does have a few intentional 'speed bumps' that help divert rain water off the road, so please go slow, the speed limit is 10mph. The hills in our driveway are all paved.
