Stay in our lovely solar powered air-conditioned home, which is steps away from the Shining Sea Bike Path and the beach. This is a perfect Falmouth Road Race rental as you can watch the runners from the porch. Woods Hole Village is about a mile away on the bike path. You can also walk to the ferry for a day trip to Martha's Vineyard. Or, just relax on the screened porch and listen to the birds. Please note that this is a Saturday to Saturday rental in the summer. We love our Woods Hole home and hope you do too. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms (each has a double bed and a twin bed), one bathroom with shower, and a laundry room. Please note that one of the bedrooms does not have a bedroom door. On the second floor there is a deck, a screened porch, kitchen, living room, bathroom with tub and shower, and a bedroom with a queen bed. There is air conditioning on both floors. To make kitchen cleanup easier, we have a garbage disposal and dishwasher. There is a Weber charcoal grill in the back yard, a gas grill on the kitchen deck, and an outdoor shower in the front. We have board games (Scrabble, Monopoly, and Risk), children's books, and beach towels. You can bring or rent a bike at Corner Cycle ($100 (adult), $150 (tandem), $65 (kids) a week (daily prices also available) and they deliver). We are steps away from the Shining Sea bikeway (2 minute walk) and Fay beach (3 minute walk). Walk or bike to the Martha’s Vineyard ferry or charming Woods Hole Village. Both are a little over a mile away on the bike path. The Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) shuttle stops right outside our door, and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution’s (WHOI) Quissett Campus is a short walk from our house. Woods Hole is a scenic seaport with beautiful beaches, an aquarium, shops, old-fashioned ice cream parlors and restaurants. It is also a thriving intellectual community, home to WHOI, MBL and other scientific organization’s. In the heart of the summer, you can attend the Friday night lectures at MBL. Woods Hole also houses the Steamship Authority, which offers ferry service to the Martha’s Vineyard. During a six week summer period (usually the month of July and the first two weeks of August) you can sign your children up for a three week session at the Children’s School of Science, attend children’s folk singing on Tuesday nights and folk dancing on Wednesday nights. Woods Hole Yacht Club also offers sailing lessons. You will have access to our entire house and yard. We are available via text, phone and email. We are steps away from the Shining Sea Bikeway and Fay beach. Our favorite beach, the WHOI beach, is a few minutes walk from our house. We are a little over a mile from Woods Hole Village and the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. We have sufficient parking for three cars. Biking is a great way to get around Woods hole. Rentals are available at Corner Cycle. You can also take the MBL shuttle to Woods Hole Village. From Woods Hole Village, you can take the trolley to Falmouth. From Boston Logan Airport, you can take the Peter Pan bus to Woods Hole. While it is pleasant to sit in the house or the porch with the windows open, we have air-conditioning for those hot days you can experience on the Cape. We also have Wi-Fi and a washer and dryer.
