Old Barn Remodel Unique, Artsy, Solar, Glamping!

Open floor plan ground level historic barn turned into an airbnb. Cabin style with modern comforts. Fast wifi, Iowa State 10 mins away, Iowa rural but close to ames. Sleep in a trailer, sleep in a boat! Super chill atmosphere on 3 acres with porch to enjoy. Hotel accommodations like air conditioning, heat, clean sheets, towels and coffee/tea but camping style. The barn is self check-in (late arrival friendly) and check out. If needing only 1 night Sun-Thur just ask for offer. Gay Friendly! The space The barn has been completely gutted and remodeled featuring modern but rustic charm. There are very few Iowa barns left and this one is beautiful. We provide clean towels, empty trash cans, basic toiletries and bedding for every guest. The barn is however very old which means bugs and reclaimed wood. Not everyone’s cup of tea but we love it. Barn has 30 solar panels on it providing electricity to our local grid system. Guest access Private trailer, private bathroom, private living room and outdoors. You pretty much have the barn to yourself. We live in house next door. The barn is not in a totally secluded area. But you won't hear from us. Other things to note 11 Hens run this show. They are free range and seekers of all bugs and food scraps. They can be picked up and pet or ignored. But they do approach all visitors. The barn heat temperature is locked at 65 degrees then it's space heaters. Summer there is some air conditioner which is set at 72 degrees and box fans. We lock thermostate because it's a giant barn. Camper bed is not designed for super tall people, they would probably be happier in the boat bed or couch. We do not provide cream for coffee because we are vegans. We live in the house next door but we have never had a problem with guests being to loud so don't worry about waking us up when late arriving. We aim for all bedding and towels to be 100% cotton. The space is designed for Airbnb. The yard and outdoors are a nothing to brag about we are proud of ourselves if it’s mowed. Don’t expect it to look like a landscaper works on it cause they quit. We are getting the space professionally sprayed for bugs as of april 2022. Small children live on property so if a small person says hi or wants to join you for frisbee that might happen. Please drive slow out of driveway as they are smart enough to open doors but not smart enough to avoid 1,000 ton vehicles.
