Our modern loft is in the heart of the Historic East Village district with an easy walk to everything and one parking space included. Walking distance to plenty of nightlife, the Farmer's Market, the Civic Center and Wells Fargo Arena. East Village is a vibrant neighborhood with shopping, great restaurants, entertainment and festivals! We are only a few blocks from the Des Moines trail system. Our place is perfect for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). Our space has a modern loft atmosphere with the furnishings giving it a cool mid-century vibe. It has an open floor plan, so not all walls are floor to ceiling allowing for natural light to reach all areas of the loft. Although the bedrooms are at separate ends of the loft, they have partial openings (without sight lines) to the main living area. One bedroom has a track door, the other does not have a door and opens to the interior hallway. The bathroom is completely enclosed and offers absolute privacy. We make ourselves available to answer any questions throughout the duration of your stay via phone, text or Airbnb messaging. The East Village has a mix of historic and modern buildings. It has great retail and shopping opportunities and many top notch restaurants in easy walking distance...something for every person's taste! Local merchants extend a friendly vibe and welcome visitors with enthusiasm. Our neighborhood sits in the shadow of the historic and beautiful state capitol. In addition to the State Capitol, we are within walking distance of the Des Moines Civic Center, the State Historical Building, Principal Park, Wells Fargo Arena, Brenton Skating Plaza, Local Breweries the Downtown Farmer's Market and numerous festivals and events. We have one dedicated off street parking space that comes with our listing and public transit is right outside our door.
