Tucked away on a private gated estate surrounded by the luscious foliage of Puna, this 1 bedroom duplex sleeps 4 adults. Master bedroom with a King size and a Queen size bed in an open area. It is the entire lower level of a duplex... we are very friendly long-time residents with vast knowledge of the Big Island and the 2018 eruption. We want to respect your privacy and make sure you have a great time. Cool and comfortable with a garden view out every window. Tile floors with area rug in Living Room. Kitchen provided everything needed to prepared meal. Full laundry area available at all hours. Dogs may stay on a case-by-case basis... PLEASE ASK US!! We are not able to accommodate cats. Around the house is a No Smoking area but you can smoke just pass the second garage. Guests will have their run of the entire lower apartment complete with full kitchen, high-speed wifi, 50-inch flat screen TV, comfortable beds, private lanai. Verizon customers have a cell tower in the community. The gardens are open to enjoy. Laundry area is in the second garage and available for use when ever you need it. We are very friendly but will respect your privacy to allow you a wonderful stay. Should you need anything or want information about the area we are happy to assist you. An informational book is available with activities, restaurants, special interest. We do have dogs that guard the property. They are very friendly and playful. Leilani Estates is the prime location for a Big Island vacation. It is beautiful and safe. There is a community center located 1/2 block from Kupono Garden where you can partake in Hula Classes, Hawaiian Language class, children's park and other various park activities. 10 minutes away from the scenic "Red Road" a coastline of Kalapana to Pohoiki for swimming in a hot pond. 15 minutes from Uncle Robert's Kava Bar that happens every Wednesday night. We do recommend having a car. You will have a designated parking space for 1 car while staying at Kupono Garden. Another parking space is available next to the unit. The public transportation, "Hele On" is available twice a day to lower Puna and into Hilo. Please keep sliding doors closed to keep mosquitos out. No furniture may be removed or brought in. We would appreciate lights and anything electrical to be turn off when you leave. The full 1 acre of our property is fenced.
