There are locks on all bedrooms and bathroom, with only one door to enter/exit basement, emergency exit doors must not be locked with a key or padlock whilst a building is in use, according to fire code. The house is locked from outside, my house is safe, & my family has never gone down to the basement while guests are here. Cola the dog wears a NO BARK collar to help minimize the barking when guests enter/exit Airbnb and dog treats are provided on both stair rails and right counter as Cola's barks mean "Give Me Treat!" to make friends! My family lives on the main floor and the Airbnb is in the basement. Treats are provided at entryway to make friends with Cola the dog! Guests are welcome to order food and use the Airbnb enter/exit! If there is anything you need please ask/text/call me and will assist ASAP! Rummaging throughout the house is not allowed! Guests are encouraged to communicate with host, either face to face, text, call, etc. The Rental Basement is secluded for privacy. The only shared area is 5 foot optionally gated off pathway to enter and exit the Airbnb & House. During long stays, access is needed to the Airbnb for maintenance and notified before. Phone text and calls are the best ways to communicate if not available face to face. If there is any problem during your stay please address it at the time so it will be fixed immediately instead of in review and too late to fix. Cola the dog wears a No Bark collar ans is gated off and will still bark, "Give Me Treat" as there are treats on the stair rails and counter to give her to reduce her barking and will stop once you're in the Airbnb! Quiet, safe & friendly neighborhood less than 5 minutes from Interstate 380 & Highway 965, easily accessing Iowa City & Cedar Rapids in 15 minutes. Few vehicles are parked on the side of the road providing ample parking space in front of my house. Grubhub, Chomp, Door Dash, ToastTab available for pick-up or delivery from 40+ local restaurants. Vehicles always have free street parking here and close and easy access to the Interstate 380 to Iowa City or Cedar Rapids (15 minute drive) & HWY 965 to Coral Ridge (10 minute drive). During snow emergencies, guests are allowed to park on 3rd driveway, allowing roads to be cleared. HOUSE RULES -Please Report any problems during the stay ASAP so it can be fixed and guests can enjoy their stay! -Please lock outside garage door when staying or leaving. -Please be respectful to the house, while in the house, and to the hosts. -Please have only the booked number of people on Airbnb allowed to stay. Unexpected guests will pay double additional guest price to cover the night and equal penalty fee. -Please read and understand the detailed step by step check in directions sent by Airbnb. -For guests who are afraid of dogs, be ensured my dog is gated off and only barks, "Give Me A Treat!" Treats are provided on stair rails to make friends. My pre-school daughter, dog, and I live on the main floor, with a 5 foot gated off entryway to the Airbnb stairway. If there are any problems with the Airbnb please let me know and it will be fixed. I always try to make sure your stay is enjoyable. My daughter and dog both are quiet throughout the night & any accidental noise occurring is quickly stopped. The 6 year old dog is an energetic mid-sized lab/doberman/blue heeler mix who is well behaved but barks from excitement & wanting a treat when guests enter/exit and there are treats on the stair rails to make friends.
