Description
Minutes to Historic downtown Hawi! Come and breathe in the fresh air and blue skies of North Kohala! Enjoy, ocean and Maui views, cool tropical breezes, and green lush pastures, while being just a few miles from the coast. The space The Ohia Hale is part of our family's home. It is a detached 2 bedroom, one bath that was our family's first wood shop back in the 70's. Built by my father, his brothers and their father. It was used to start the family's custom furniture and door business- originally my father and my uncle, then later with the addition of myself and my brother. In the late 80's we built a larger space for my father's growing business and therefore converted this space into an "ohana" or family guest house. It is my pleasure to offer it to travelers who are looking to get away from the tourist-trap scene at the resorts and want the real experience of "living" even for just a short time, in real Hawaii. Guest access Guests have access to the entire guest home as well as the yard space all around it. We just ask for you to keep to that area and respect the privacy of the home owners by not venturing to the back side of the main house. Thank you! Other things to note **Please do not ask for a cash discount for your current or future stay. All transactions will go through Airbnb. Thank you for respecting this request. *There are floor or wall fans in each bedroom & the living room- although at 1,200 ft elevation, we generally have a very pleasant, cool temperature up here most of the year. *Things beyond our control: We work very hard to make sure your stay is happy and comfortable. However, there are things that are out of our control, just as there are things out of your control at your home. Please understand that there will be no refunds or discounts given for such things. Examples of these types of things that are out of our control include: breakdown of fans, TV, electronics, internet access and appliances, presence of bugs in a treated home (bugs are an everyday part of living in the tropics-although we do our best to keep them out of our living spaces), and acts of nature/ bad weather (including hurricanes). We will do everything we can to remedy the situation as quickly as possible. Registration Details GE-186-640-0768-01
