Description
Gorgeous view of the Mill River just behind the house. Hiking, boating, marine activities and city life just minutes away. Spacious, bright, private room in funky apartment building, with grocery/convenience store right downstairs. Private entrance (from common hallway), private bath. Best suited for easy going, laidback people. The space Spacious, yet cozy, private bedroom with microwave, fridge, coffee maker. No stove. Private bath. Best suited for LAID BACK individuals who aren't going to nitpick it to death. Guest’s pets are also welcome to stay, in other words: THIS IS A PET FRIENDLY HOUSE. The hallway may occasionally sport a faint odor of past pet presence, though I keep it clean. There are other quirks as well. It's a funky building, but safe and clean. Please don't book if you plan to give us low ratings based on the built in quirks of the space, which I can do nothing about. Ask if you have any questions! If you're more of a hotel person, we have lots of them in town. :) Guest access Private Bedroom, Private Bathroom. Common Hallway leading to unit. Again, if this arrangement bothers you, please don't book! Other things to note PLEASE NOTE AND UNDERSTAND THE FOLLOWING BEFORE BOOKING! 1) THIS IS NOT THE HILTON. It is an Air BnB in my house. There are quirks. It's a nice and cozy and private space for most people, but it is a unique, sort of funky space and is not a suite at the Doubletree. If you're looking for a 5 star hotel, we have those in town, please avail yourself of them. 2) THE VIEW: The view you see in the main picture is not the view from your room. Your room overlooks Washington Street, which is also where your entrance is. The view in the pic is on the other side of the house. You may avail yourself of this view at any time by walking 30-35 yards around the house, sitting on a bench or on the grass, and taking in the glory. You could even take a dip at high tide, or launch a SUP or kayak. Also note that in winter, the view is quite different: sleet, ice, snow and rain. Sorry to state the obvious, but you would not believe some people. :) 3) YOUR ENTRANCE: While your actual room is 100% private, you enter the building through a hallway that is also (infrequently-ish) used by another guy who has a permanent room elsewhere on the same floor. He's a nice guy, just say hi if you see him. He won't bite you. This same hallway also contains some of my belongings. It has security cameras for protection. 4) Overall, this room is best suited for people who are a little bit laid back, maybe young (at heart?), maybe a bit chill about life in general. It's a comfy, private space and most people who stay like it a lot. It has everything you need - fresh towels, bedsheets, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, smart TV, WiFi, hair dryer ++, and I keep it very clean and well maintained. However, I've had people complain about finding a speck of dust in a corner, or that they couldn't find the volume button on the TV remote, or that they heard people coming and going to the store downstairs. If you're that kind of person, I respectfully ask that you find accommodations elsewhere. I will do my best to answer any questions you have and get you anything you might need, just be cool and remember: you're in my house, not at the Sheraton. Thanks! I look forward to (maybe) hosting you!
