The space Our thoughtfully designed cottages are crafted to offer ultimate relaxation and connection with the surrounding nature. Bright, airy, and freshly remodeled, Malie blends modern amenities with tranquil tropical charm. Step into the open-concept kitchen and living area, featuring two sets of 8-foot sliding glass doors that lead to a 200 sq ft screened-in lanai overlooking gentle green pastures and the distant ocean. The lanai is a perfect spot to savor morning coffee or evening sunsets and is complemented by a private deck with an outdoor shower. The fully equipped kitchen includes a ceramic cooktop, convection oven, and all essentials for cooking. The indoor dining table comfortably seats four, with an additional table for two on the screened-in lanai. Malie’s interiors are designed for comfort and ease. Enjoy soft cotton linens, brand-new memory foam mattresses, ceiling fans in every room, granite countertops in the kitchen and bath, and hardwood and tile floors throughout. The bathroom includes a shower, tub, and plenty of bath and beach towels, while a large hall closet houses a washer and dryer for guest use. Stay connected with fast wireless internet, TVs with built-in streaming, and a Bluetooth speaker for music. The cottage is stocked with beach towels, a beach umbrella, cooler, guidebooks, and plenty of aloha. Malie offers flexibility for different stays—from romantic getaways to larger family retreats. The property can be rented in various configurations to accommodate groups; please inquire if you wish to reserve the entire farm. Relax on your lanai or deck – sip morning coffee or evening tea while taking in garden and ocean views. Use full cottage amenities – kitchens, fast Wi-Fi, outdoor showers, and laundry facilities. Connect with nature – listen to the birds, watch the trade winds move through the trees, and soak in the gentle rhythms of island life. Other things to note Other Things to Note 🌿 Farm & Tropical Environment Our cottages sit on a working organic farm in Maui’s lush, tropical environment. While we partner with an eco-friendly pest control company, you may still encounter ants, mosquitoes, or other tropical insects—and our friendly geckos may stop by too! These creatures are a natural part of island life and the vibrant ecosystem we cherish. If you prefer a completely bug-free environment, this may not be the perfect fit—but for most guests, these little visitors are part of the authentic farm experience. Cottage Setting & Quiet Atmosphere Malie and Lokahi cottages are situated side-by-side, which allows sound to travel more easily between spaces. To help preserve the calm, restorative atmosphere our guests value, we are unable to accommodate children under the age of 8 in these two cottages. For families traveling with younger children, our Kalani Cottage is a wonderful option. Kalani is a stand-alone cottage with a large, open yard, offering more space, privacy, and room for kids to move and play—making it an ideal choice for family stays. Climate & Comfort Haʻikū enjoys comfortable temperatures year-round. Our cottages do not have central A/C or heat, as they are rarely needed. Ceiling fans, tower fans, and open windows keep the space airy and comfortable. For the occasional warm day or cool night, extra blankets are provided so you can stay cozy. House Rules & Quiet Enjoyment Our homes are smoke-free, pet-free, and drug-free to maintain an allergy-friendly environment for all guests. The cottages are located in a quiet family neighborhood—no loud music or parties. Please observe quiet hours from 10pm–8am, and drive slowly on the property (5 mph). Accessibility Our cottages are not wheelchair accessible. We appreciate your respect for the land, the home, and the gentle rhythms of island life—helping ensure a peaceful, restorative experience for all guests.
