Coming to the Deep South? Enjoy the city and everything it has to offer, then come home to a sweet, quiet refuge with two locals! Our place is about 10 minutes by car to the French Quarter, Jazz Fest, Parks, Museums, the Zoo, Aquarium, airport and more. We're walking distance to Starbucks, groceries, a daiquiri shop, bars, restaurants and public transport. Want to explore past the city? We're happy to help (and maybe even take you for a tour!). We want your stay to be a great experience. The space You'll have your own bright, airy and private entryway with the front wing of the house. There's tons of natural light throughout the house, even on a cloudy day, and a ceiling fan in every room. We love it! Included in your space is a sunny semi-private hangout area and a Master Suite (bedroom that sleeps two with private attached bath). We may be able to accommodate up to four people upon request. Guest access We're happy to share our common spaces like the garden, dining room and den area, as well as parts of the kitchen (we'll set aside a fridge & freezer shelf for you, and make sure you know how to work the microwave and toaster oven; for larger meals that you want to cook on the stove or in the oven, let's discuss first as our stove is an antique!). Please respect our private spaces. While the pups do not go into your private area, they do share the common area while we are home. That being said, we can always let them outside or put them behind a gate to hang out while you do your thing. Each major doorway in the house has a door or a gate, so that's easy; just let us know what makes you feel most comfortable. Please keep the gates closed at all times. If we are not home during your stay, we put the girls in their kennels, so *you* can roam freely. :) During your stay We personally check-in every guest. During check-in, we provide a tour of your space and the house, and we highlight the amenities. We work from our home office most days, so one of us is generally around to assist where needed. We try to check in with guests at least once a day; we simply ask that you respond timely and let us know that everything is okay. We love hanging out and meeting new people, but we also recognize that you aren't coming to NOLA to hang with us (this time!). We are happy to share a meal or some a beverage or snack if/when our schedules align. We want your stay to be pleasant, fun and informed! Other things to note Since we live here, too, we leave the radio on (NPR/Classical/Jazz) during the day for us and for the pups. If you plan to nap or need some quiet time, just let us know.
