Pamela (owner/host) has been hosting two fully permitted listings for the last 10 years with over 1,000 five star reviews. BUT this one, Kula Jewel, burned to the ground in the Maui wildfires in August last year. We are in the process of rebuilding a GORGEOUS new home, and we are taking bookings for 2025, but we donʻt have photos yet. The New Kula Jewel will have every creature comfort. Amenities include: Swimming pool AND jacuzzi hot tub, comfy couches, WiFi, flat screen TV, indoor and outdoor grills, a lanai with outdoor furniture and stunning views of the ocean on BOTH sides of the island, and the summit of Haleakalā. The master bedroom will have a king size bed, walk in closet and upscale bathroom, the other two bedrooms will have queen size memory foam beds, a shared bath with tub and shower, and a portable single bed available for larger groups. We also have a pack-n-play crib. Complete kitchen appliances such as stove/oven and dishwasher, along with tons of small appliances such as standard coffee maker, toaster, microwave, blender, toaster oven, rice cooker, crock pot, fresh linens and towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, on demand hot water, private, easy access parking for three cars - this place is heaven! Fruit trees include: Avocado, Lime, Mango, and Cherimoya. We welcome guests of all race, religion, LGBT, and families. We offer incredible peace and serenity and ask our guests to maintain the same qualities. Please note: the cleaning fee can be decreased a small amount if only two guests using one bed are staying for short duration. Feel free to ask for this consideration upon booking inquiry. Also worth noting: the nightly price is for up to four people, but the listing can take up to 7 people. If your party is more than four people, the price will automatically increase by $20 per night, per extra guests above 4 people. We are dedicated to reducing single use plastics, and we provide reusable water bottles for our guests that were generously donated by the Maui Surfrider Foundation. Thereʻs a fabulous personal chefs who live close by. And if your visit crosses over a Saturday, be sure and visit the Upcountry Farmerʻs Market, which has some of the best food on the entire island! The permit number is: STMP20170001 The Superhost owner (Pamela) lives next door, but the properties are divided by mature fruit trees and other foliage, so the two houses do not see each other, but the owner is nearby if any need arises. E komo mai!! Welcome to Kula Jewel! Guests have full access to every area of the house, all appliances, washer and dryer, pool, hot tub, garden, decks, parking areas. Pamela likes to greet her guests in person for check-in, and then leave you alone for the rest of your stay, while at the same time being available if you need anything. She tends to check in with her guests once every day or two by text, just to make sure everyone is happy, comfortable, and having a five star experience! Kula, in upcountry Maui, is a peaceful, "local", and gorgeous area, with a combination of ranch land, open space, and small neighborhoods. The closest neighbors to Kula Jewel are a work-at-home jeweler, a work-at-home photographer, a man who builds beautiful garden fountains, an accupuncturist with a home office, a massage/Reiki therapist with a home studio, and your host, a voice/‘ukulele teacher/professional musician. We all love the peaceful quality of our neighborhood, and hope you will want to help us preserve that quality. The Kula Lodge has "fine dining", but we ALWAYS recommend the Kula Bistro instead. The Bistro has exceptional food, large portions and is more reasonably priced than the Lodge. Upon check-in, Pamela will give you directions to all the local eateries, and if your stay crosses over a Saturday, donʻt miss the Kula Farmerʻs Market - one of the best food experiences anywhere on Maui! Kula Jewel is the perfect jumping off point for Haleakalā sunrise, sunset or anytime, as well as a Hana day trip, and visits to the Maui Winery, Kula Botanical Gardens, Lavender Farm, Surfing Goat Dairy, north shore surf spots, and the sweet country towns of Makawao and Paia. There is very little public transportation on Maui. We do not recommend you book Kula Jewel unless you have a rental car. Quiet hours are 8:30pm-8am. You donʻt need to worry about anything INSIDE the house - you are separate enough to not disturb anyone. But OUTSIDE - in the yard, driveway, and parking areas, please be respectful that there will be some neighbors sleeping as early as 9pm. Even during the day, we will appreciate consideration that your voices *in the yard*, by the pool, and/or in the driveway will be heard by at least three neighbor homes.
