Maui County License: STPH2014/0003 (taxes are included in rate) 3 bedroom, 3 bath home with spectacular ocean views and always changing sunsets. Aka'ula means red sunset which can be enjoyed every day from this private and gated property on a hill side in Ha'iku. The house is furnished in modern style with island accents, a very comfortable home away from home. The pool area is situated on the lower area of the property with a pool house and BBQ facility. The one level home offers a lot of space for families or friends traveling together. All bedrooms have great views and ceiling fans. The twin beds in the guest bedrooms can be converted to king beds. Guest have access to the entire home and garden and pool areas accept the garage. We have a 24 hour emergency call service and our local office in Paia is open Monday to Friday from 9am - 4pm. We are happy to help with any information and activity reservations. The neighborhood is agricultural and rural in character. Most homes are occupied by residents. Hai'ku town center is only 5 min. away by car with some great restaurants, grocery store, post office, gym and yoga studio, hardware store and some great food trucks offering different ethnic foods or styles of cuisines. There is a bus service from Ha'iku Market Place, it is about a 20 min. walk. I highly recommend to rent a car to get around and discover all the beauty Maui has to offer. The Hale Aka'ula property is a licensed vacation rental with Maui County. Maximum occupancy is 6 guest including children 2 years and older. Use of the property and home is for registered guests only. Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am, parking is available for three cars, there is no street parking available. A rental agreement has to be signed within 7 days of booking including pre-check in form requiring a valid credit card in your name. Rates include taxes (17.42%), there are no additional fees. Minimum stay during Holiday Season is 14 days. This is a non-smoking property. 3rd party reservations are not accepted.
