Ho’okipa Hideaway is your serene retreat on Maui’s North Shore. This private studio includes a modern kitchenette, bathroom, a tranquil screened-in lana’i where you can relax and take in the lush tropical garden. Ho’okipa Hideaway offers its own private entrance, a charming private garden, and off-street parking. Enjoy the local charm with a short walk to a delightful cafe serving breakfast and lunch, a little market, and some surf shops. We have been licensed by the County of Maui for 9 years. The Ho'okipa Hideaway is a large, attached, private studio. It is completely gated and private with a screened lana'i and lovely private garden with plenty of room to sunbathe, star gaze, or just relax. A queen size bed with a very comfortable mattress is in the main room along with a kitchenette, loveseat, dining table, and 43" tv. Two night stays are accepted when only two nights are available between longer stays. Please check calendar and message us with your request. The large, private garden with deck and tropical foliage provides plenty of room for your equipment storage such a windsurf gear, surfboards, etc. We respect your privacy but are here to help with whatever questions you may have. Ho'okipa Hideaway is centrally located in Haiku on Maui's north shore. We are walking distance from the Pauwela Cannery where you can get breakfast and lunch at Baked Restaurant or browse the windsurf and surf shops. We are just eight minutes from world famous surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing at Ho'okipa Beach, 5 minutes from Haiku town center with an array of restaurants including Thai, Japanese, Hawaiian and American as well as vegetarian and Chinese foods, and our local Haiku Market and Fukashima's General Store. Enjoy exploring the upcountry areas of Makawao (10 min) and Kula (25 min) or take the drive along Hana Hwy towards Hana and explore the many hidden beaches, trails and waterfalls along the way. Historic Paia town with its artsy boutique's and organic restaurants and live local music is just a 15 minute drive. Don't forget Kuau's Mama's Fish House Restaurant, it is world renowned for its fresh local fish and great atmosphere. Renting a car is best as there is no public transportation nearby.
