This is a private, spacious yet cozy studio ohana situated on a beautiful private acre of property nestled on a hillside of Mt Kohala overlooking gorgeous views of famous Mauna Kea. The living area includes a comfortable cal king bed and a newly remodeled, fully equipped, modern kitchen. This is a perfect home base from which to begin or continue your big island experience! A newly remodeled “ohana” studio with modern amenities including a beautiful, fully-equipped kitchen with granite countertops, a mango wood breakfast bar and stainless steel appliances. After a cozy night’s sleep in your cal king bed, enjoy rising with a cup of coffee or tea and sitting outside where you can take in the park-like setting while gazing up at the vast Mauna Kea Mountain. This is simple, modern Hawaiian luxury designed with comfort and style in mind. To enhance your experience, we’ve included a complimentary bottle of red wine, assortment of teas and coffee pods. Enjoy the use of our convenient and easy way to brew a delicious cup of coffee with the Keurig 2.0 coffee maker. You will have access to our beach equipment including two beach chairs, a beach umbrella and two beach towels. Also, feel free to roam around and enjoy our property at your leisure. We are happy to help with any questions about your space, provide advice on where to eat as well as great activities, adventures and places to visit. This is a private, quiet neighborhood with friendly residents. We are located just outside of the small hustle and bustle of charming Waimea town but within a 5-10 minute drive of where you can conveniently find grocery stores, farmer's markets, restaurants, coffee shops and hikes. We are a fifteen-minute drive from the coast where you’ll want to discover and enjoy our beautiful white sand beaches at Mauna Kea Beach Resort and Hapuna Beach (20 mins). On the other side through town (toward Hilo) you’ll stumble upon Honoka’a and the famous Waipio Valley along with the gorgeous Hamakua coastline. We are at a cooler elevation of 3,000 feet and afternoon/evening rain does occur and it provides perfect sleeping weather. Evenings/mornings in the winter months can be cool, so we recommend light sweaters/socks for those crisp Waimea mornings and evenings. This is one of two vacation units on property.
