Also closely located within minutes from Kamuela/Waimea town - groceries, theater, shopping etc. Very convenient for exploring and enjoying the Big Island, as our location is centrally located. The space - Mauna Kea Cottage is located in quite private neighborhood, with estate style homes. Ocean and mountain views with incredible sunsets, leading into stargazing nights with the Milky Way shining down on you. - Kamuela/Waimea town is known as "paniolo" (cowboy) country, so vistas and pasture for miles on end. We are located 1800' feet, or 550 meters above sea level. This elevation provides warm comfortable days, and cool crisp nights for perfect sleeping. - Seasonal stream provides for soothing background ambiance. - 3 Incrediable farmer's markets available several days a week allowing for fresh local produce. (see pics) - Full kitchen with all appliances, outdoor grill, and plenty of onsite free parking. Beach towels, gear, and boards available for use. - Excellent variety of restaurants a few minutes away. - The cottage itself is elegantly decorated with Hawaiian Koa hardwood flooring, giant HD flatscreen tv, tall vaulted ceilings with cool breezes. Large comfortable clean bedrooms, memory foam mattresses with resort quality quilts and bedding. - Incredible fiber optic high speed wifi internet all included. Our priority is have your stay and experience as comfortable and "local" as possible. By staying with us you will get a true "Hawaiian Island" Aloha. Guest access Guests can access laundry room, parking, basketball hoop, and 24/7 access to property manager for urgent issues. Other things to note Living in Hawaii, please expect an environment with birds, insects and other friendly wild life to show up on occasion. Also on property are a couple of lovable family dogs and cats who love to greet guests, if and only if guests ok with it. Weekly housekeeping is performed (included with final cleaning fee). Additional housekeeping upon request can be included with a nominal extra fee.
