Located directly on New Orleans' world-famous Magazine Street, you'll be steps away from some of the best restaurants and shops in the city! You'll quickly discover why this part of the city is a favorite! Pour your favorite drink and relax in the striking white cabana in our manicured backyard. The white-on-black-on-white theme continues inside this chic 2nd floor home, right through to the covered front balcony. The space Welcome to your private upstairs (no elevator) 2,200 square foot apartment with front balcony facing Magazine Street and a huge, private rear terrace with plenty of seating! Make yourself at home in our designer-decorated pad, fully stocked with everything you'll need for an unforgettable getaway! You'll be steps away from all of the wonderful shops and restaurants along Magazine Street (some of the BEST in the city!), and about a 15-20 minute drive to the heart of the French Quarter and many other city attractions. There is space in the gated driveway for up to two vehicles, though they'll have to park in line, blocking one in. There is also plenty of free street parking on the blocks around the home, and metered street parking on Magazine Street Mon-Sat from 8AM-8PM (other times & Sundays are free). Some of the features of the home include: - Coffee maker & coffee (there's also several coffee shops within a few blocks, including La Boulangerie, our favorite place to grab a coffee and pastry in the morning) - Fully-stocked kitchen with everything you need to prepare a meal for a cozy night in - In-unit washer & dryer - Free WiFi - Beautiful white hardwood floors - Covered balcony overlooking Magazine Street - Private rear terrace/backyard with tons of seating and space to relax The layout of the home is as follows: - Bedroom 1: One King-size bed w/ ensuite bathroom - Bedroom 2: One Queen-size bed w/ ensuite bathroom - Living Room & Kitchen (open concept space): fully-stocked with full-size refrigerator, oven/stove, microwave, dishwasher, bar seating, Smart TV with Roku for streaming, and plenty of comfy seating - Laundry closet with washer & dryer - Two full baths (one attached to each bedroom) and one half bath Distances to popular destinations in the city: - French Quarter: 5 miles - Superdome & Smoothie King Ctr: 3.5 miles - Audubon Park: 1.7miles - 7 blocks to St Charles Streetcar Line Nearby Spots Include: - Fresh Market Grocery: 1 mile - Rouses Market: 0.5 mile - La Boulangerie Bakery: 4.5 blocks - French, Ethiopian, Israeli, Thai, Latin, American, and traditional NOLA fare restaurants all within a few blocks Per local requirements: This home is not ADA-compliant. This home is located on the second floor, and there is a full flight of stairs to climb from street level to access. There is a noise-monitoring device inside the home (as required by law) that measures the sound levels to ensure guests are not disturbing neighbors. *Absolutely no parties or events* *Outdoor common areas monitored by cameras* *NO smoking -- if smoking is detected, you will be subject to $500 additional charge* Guest access You'll have your own private exterior entrance to the penthouse above the shop below. You'll have full access to the entire home on the 2nd floor, including the private balcony on Magazine Street and the rear terrace. We'll message you with the door code and other instructions one hour prior to your arrival time. Other things to note The penthouse sits above a retail space, which is currently a home decor store open during normal business hours. There is a full flight of stairs to climb from street level to reach the penthouse on the 2nd floor, and there is no elevator. Our home is also not baby-proofed, so please use your own judgement when traveling with younger children. There is space in the gated driveway for up to two vehicles, though they'll have to park in line, blocking one in. There is also plenty of free street parking on the blocks around the home, and metered street parking on Magazine Street Mon-Sat from 8AM-8PM (other times & Sundays are free). New Orleans is prone to hurricanes and other storms, sometimes outside of the normal season. Please note that we do not move, cancel, or provide refunds or credits for any reason, including COVID, road conditions/closures, travel cancellations, and weather conditions.
