Cottage-Clean, comfortable and convenient
Private, clean, deeply sanitized and affordably priced cottage nestled in a macadamia nut farm with fruit and foliage. Situated 3 miles from the airport, 25 miles to the magnificent volcano and 15 miles to Akaka Falls State Park alongside amazing lush tropical greens and stunning waterfalls. Centrally located near University of Hawaii at Hilo, beaches, Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo, local shops, eateries, local farmers market and Edith Kanaka'ole Stadium which houses the Merrie Monarch hula festival. This 500 sq ft cottage provides privacy and relaxation for those looking to stay away from the hustle and bustle of business, yet be minutes away. You will find 1 bedroom comfortable pillow top queen bed, a pull-out sofa for 2 in the living area. There is a work desk that can be converted from the dining table and a desk chair can be provided upon request. The cottage is a great spot for a couples get-away, accommodates small families, friend get-aways, or in-laws as travel partners. A walk-in shower, kitchenette, smart cable television to stream your favorite media and fast free Wi-Fi provided. Our kitchenette is stocked with a Keurig coffee maker (as well as a conventional one for a full pot of brew and French press) counter cook-top, microwave, air fryer oven, full sized refrigerator and freezer, rice cooker and other appliances. The front porch is a perfect spot for morning coffee, reading, reflection or evening grilling on the gas grill and cocktails or mocktails! I am available for questions or concerns and take great pride in the cleanliness and sanitation procedures. Hypo-allergenic laundering measures included. *Due to Covid-19, spices and cooking condiments will no longer be provided. The cottage has a private driveway and allows you to park at the front lanai which includes one step. The cottage has ample parking, for those with larger sized trucks or trailers. The cottage has a key less code entry and outdoor flood lights for safety and security. There is a backdoor and paved walkway which leads to the laundry area. I enjoy socializing and meeting new guests and am available for information, tips, certain amenities upon request or directions when needed. Many guests have their itinerary planned and prefer privacy. If you would like help or information, I can be reached by text, phone or email daily. We are located in a quiet neighborhood and within walking distance from Nani Mau Gardens, a beautiful botancial garden with lunch services and a cute gift shop for memorabilia. Most attractions are within a 10-30 minute drive and having a car is suggested. With most activities being spread across the town and island and to experience them leisurely, a car is highly recommended. An array of books provided to educate cultural awareness and safety measures to ensure a great trip if visiting our islands. Biking and runs are great in the neighborhood, however due to the distances to local attractions, cars are favored as a means for sightseeing and shopping! With an array of restaurants in town, cooking at home may be a preferable option. Appliances, a BBQ gas grill and necessary utensils are stocked for you. Having fresh coffee or sipping wine on the porch can be a relaxing way to begin or end your day! Convenient location, as we are a 5 minute drive to grocery stores, 30 minute drive to the volcano, 20 minutes to local beaches, waterfalls and the artsy shops and farmers market in downtown Hilo. Within minutes to most shopping trips, grocery stores, churches, parks, banks, libraries, doctors and medical facilities and more! (and for you coffee lovers, Starbucks is only a 5 minute drive!). We are situated amongst many trees and have natural sounds of birds, chickens and coqui frogs. Our neighbor also has numerous farm animals which are pleasant to many but ear plugs are available if needed to those who don’t find them enjoyable! *Due to Covid-19, spices and cooking condiments will no longer be provided.
