Beautiful home within walking distance to downtown Waimea, including KTA and Foodland for shopping, Starbucks, fast foods, Waimea Nature Park, and Waimea Park (2 different parks). My home has three listings, so other guests may be here at the same time. The elevation is 2,600, which is generally 10 degrees cooler than at the beaches. Pretty much the ideal temperature. The landscaping is mature. Views of Mauna Kea from several windows. The back yard connects to University of Hawaii ag land. Custom home tastefully furnished in a peaceful neighborhood. Some of the roosters are confused and might crow at any time, day or night. Some people are okay with it, and others are not. Closing the bedroom windows is an easy solution if they bother you. I also have a white noise machine which drowns them out even with the windows open. This bedroom is not a suite, meaning the bathroom is not located in the bedroom, though it is close. Guests staying in this bedroom can consider it their private bathroom, as other guests in the house have their own bathrooms to use. It has a stall shower and no bathtub. Guests will have access to all common areas, including the kitchen, front porch, rear patio, and two living spaces. Scott is sometimes on the island and sometimes not due to responsibilities in other parts of the world. My goal is to provide a 5-star experience whether we meet or not. Feel free to call anytime night or day if you have any questions--thank you! Waimea has their own local bus routes, but to get to Hilo or Kona is not easy. Unless walking is a challenge for you, walking is definitely an option for getting around Waimea. Even if it is raining or misting, it is generally warm, and I have umbrellas for your use. Guests are welcome to arrive to the house at any time, even before the standard check-in time, and hangout, get water, use a restroom, use WiFi, etc. Just want to make sure guests realize they may be sharing the home with other guests, since I have three listings on Airbnb for this home.
