Our Nature yurts offer a place of intentional peacefulness, set among towering evergreens and ocean breezes along Hawaii Island's North Kohala coast. Here, you can relax and unwind on 50 acres of gardens, wild groves, and ancient valley trails. Hawaii Island Retreat is excited to offer guests a reduced yurt rate. We are an oceanfront retreat center nestled within a needled ironwood grove, the space is perfect for couples or shared living. Located steps away from the spa and salt water pool. The yurts have two single beds or one king, and a private toilet and sink. Private shower rooms (indoor & outdoor) are located in a SEPARATE shower house only steps away from the Yurt village that is stocked with organic shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Wireless internet is not accessible within the yurts, but can be found in specified common areas in the main lodge (i.e. lobby & upstairs library and upstairs patio) There are predetermined check-in and out times but depending on availability, these times are flexible. Guests can enjoy our fragrant gardens filled with fresh fruit and flowers, open-air living room, theater room, and library. You also have access to our salt water infinity lap pool, solar hot tub, & 50 acres of coastal forest, cliffs and gardens. A perfect place to explore the magic of our Hawaiian landscape. Additionally, we have a small herd of Nubian goats on who love human interaction! There are hula & yoga lessons available on site for an additional fee. Daily Guest Concierge and maid service are available during your stay. Hawaii Island Retreat is located less than a mile from Hawi town. Here you will find many local restaurants, shopping, and adventure activities. Our little town also hosts a wonderful farmers market on Saturdays. White and black sand beaches are a quick 20 min drive away. Guests need to provide their own transportation (i.e. rental cars)! There is very limited public transportation in this area. If you require a private shuttle please contact us directly. No cleaning fee!!!
