A four-season, luxurious, cottage-style retreat near the glorious beaches on the North spit of Nauset Beach, off Nauset Heights. Tennis court, ample grounds, walking neighborhood, and easy beach access. This Property is shared with two seasonal cottages. Perfect for getaways, the cottage is designed for a couple or individual. While there are two twins downstairs, these are appropriate for children, a friend, or a relative who will not be jealous of the king room upstairs. The space This stylish yet simple 2018 addition to a 1945 summer cottage serves as a single or couple separate dwelling and a four-season escape to a quiet ocean-front neighborhood in Orleans. Twin beds in the basement allow for kids or non picky friends. While the cottage is fully equipped, linens: sheets, towels, and beach towels are not included in prime season, that being July and August, due to turnover timing. Guests then should use our CA King sheets but bring needed twin sheets, towels, and beach towels or rent from a linen service such as 'The Furies". The basement is finished in traditional pine with a half bath, stretching and yoga space, and a bedroom with twin beds that can be made into a king as desired. Nauset Beach, the surf close enough to hear, and down a long wooden stairway on the bluff, is a barrier beach of unrivaled beauty, water on both sides, running North for 2 miles to Nauset inlet. This cottage is connected by a screened breezeway to a small seasonal guest cottage that may or may not be occupied. These two cottages share one outdoor shower. There is also a 4 BR seasonal cottage on the property, circa 1925, 20 yards away. The property is surrounded by privet hedges and perennials. A private tennis court (shared by the three cottages) and a visit to Henry’s speakeasy in the converted horse stables in the warmer season will round out your long weekend. Dogs are prohibited on the main beach from April 1 through Labor Day. However, at Pricilla Beach, at the end of Standish Road, dogs are allowed year-round. Guest access This property is attached via breezeway to the 1943 summer guest cottage. A family member, friend, or renter may be in there . Your privacy will not be impacted. The land also contains the original 1925 summer cottage which might be occupied. Other things to note We encourage all to use the outdoor shower. This is one of the more exhilarating and memorable experiences, washing away the salt under stars or blue skies. This removes a huge water burden from our fragile Cape septic system so it’s a win-win. The toilets can handle toilet paper only. If your stay begins after June 1, and before October 1, you need to bring linens, towels, and beach towels. These can be provided by a local service such as The Furies.
