Access is limited to provide the opportunity for healthcare workers to maintain a close proximity to medical centers providing Hawaii Island with much needed medical staff. Proof of contracted employment or student medical rotation will be needed prior to check in. Please note rent has been calculated as follows and will be collected in a lump sum to comply with Hawaii State GET/ TA / Hawaii County tax laws. Base rent: $47/ day GET tax 4.5%: 2.12/ day TAT tax 11%: $5.17/ day Hawaii County Tax 3%: $1.41/ day Total daily rental fees: $56/ day (total rounded up to dollar amount) * Signed into law earlier this year, the TAT fee will have a 0.75 percent increase on all transient lodging statewide.
