Clean and Quiet - Modern Basement Apartment

This is a clean, comfortable, fully-furnished modern basement apartment. Great for traveling medical professionals and long-term stays. The space ***Interested in a long-term stay? The calendar changes often so please send a message or inquiry!*** This 1,100 sqft basement apartment has its own separate entrance. As you can see from the photos, several large egress windows save it from the dreaded "basement feel". There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. There are also two small bathrooms. (No tubs, just showers. Note that the showers are small.) The main area has an open layout with plenty of space to stretch your legs. Literally. There's a yoga mat ready to go if that's your thing! This apartment sleeps up to 6 people. Besides the two queen beds, there are two more twin air cots with foam toppers if needed. The living room has a variety of board games, coloring books, etc. There is also a 55" TV with access to Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon Prime if you have your own accounts. High speed wireless internet is included as well as a comfortable office area. The kitchen is fully-equipped with all the essentials. The apartment also has its own washer and dryer. Outside, there is a BBQ grill and private patio area if needed. The back yard has a high fence. Unfortunately, there is no garage for guests use. Instead there are three off-street parking spots behind the house off the alley. One of the spots is gated. Quiet and respectful guests are always appreciated by the nurses that live upstairs. Guest access Guests have access to all of the basement apartment, the lower patio, and the back yard. (The upstairs apartment has the upper patio and front yard.) The keypad door entry allows travelers to conveniently check-in and check out by themselves. Out of respect for the neighbors, please park behind the house and enter through the back gate. Other things to note Cleaning and Fees The minimum cleaning charge is $25. If additional cleaning is required, the rate is $25/hour. You will receive the apartment in squeaky clean condition. We require (and appreciate!!!) that you help keep the apartment ready for the next guests. There is a checkout list of basic chores on the door in the apartment when the time comes. Don’t worry it’s not a big deal. It’s the same routine stuff that you do at your own home - laundry, take out the trash, load the dishwasher, etc. Depending on your lifestyle, it can be a fast and easy hour. For example, 10-15 minutes of light cleaning, then waiting for the laundry machines if needed. It might be more though. Again, it all depends on how you live. Specifically, because laundry takes up so much time, we really appreciate stripping sheets and washing them. No need to fold or anything like that. And worst case scenario, as long as we can pop the last load in the dryer right when we get there, we can usually multitask and still fit everything in an hour no problem. With clean linens ready to go, we can also make the beds very quickly, so no need to worry about that! If your schedule is tight, like you have an early flight to catch or something along those lines, no problem! Often times we can work with you and figure something out. Not a big deal as long as we know ahead of time! Pets Pets are negotiable and may require extra deposit or fees. They must be mature, well-behaved, quiet, picked up after, etc. If you bring a pet, it is very important to plan ahead to prevent any messes in or damage to the apartment or the lawn. For instance, some dogs like to bark, scratch at doors, or mark their territory. Or sometimes they leave urine spots in the grass. Some cats like to bite window blinds or scratch furniture. This can happen even if they are mature. Our pets may behave differently in a new environment, so please plan accordingly. Also, keep in mind every pet seems to track dirt and leave behind hair, which require extra cleaning. We really like animals, but we would be sad if anything bad happened.
