Bathroom with tiled shower and large vanity down the hall. - Half bath conveniently located on the main floor. The home is deep cleaned and laundered between guests with special attention to detail. Hot tub is drained, cleaned, and refilled between guests in accordance with the Gallatin County Public Accommodation permit requirement. Water softener installed. Wifi internet capable of streaming on 4 devices. In the home we provide backpacks, coolers, bear spray, maps/guide, and baby gear for use during your stay. Also includes laundry detergent, dish detergent, hand soap, toiletries, hair dryers, chopped wood for the wood stove and fire ring. We are a local family who own, manage, and maintain Shelterwood Lodge, Guest House, or combined as the 2 Home Retreat. Having a background in outdoor careers in Montana, we relied on our years of experience working and recreating in the woods when we designed and built Shelterwood. Construction was completed in 2021. We are happy to answer questions about the area and the house. Summer highlights: touring Yellowstone Park, fly fishing on Blue Ribbon rivers and streams, visiting the lake, hiking and mountain biking access from the property, horseback riding, see the rodeo, ride the Yellowstone Aerial Adventures Zipline, catch a movie on the Yellowstone Giant Screen, visit the Grizzly Wolf Discovery Center, dining and shopping in West Yellowstone. Winter highlights: groomed snowmobile trail access from the property, cross country skiing and snow shoeing access from the property or in town at the Rendezvous trail system, ice fishing, winter tours into Yellowstone by snow coach or snowmobile, downhill skiing and snowboarding at Big Sky ski resort less than an hour drive. Other things to note We are licensed by the State of Montana Dept. of Health and approved by the local fire department for a commercial building permit. We follow strict Gallatin County and State of Montana Dept. of Health and Human Services guidelines to hold our small hotel business license. Guidelines focus on providing a safe and clean environment for every group. Hot tubs are emptied, cleaned, and filled between each group stay. Linens are appropriately cleaned at the correct temperature. Cleaning is provided by our dedicated staff trained to follow the State of Montana DHHS hotel standard. Security cameras are located at the garage doors and doorbells only. No backyard or interior cameras on site.
