Description

Charming 1920s cottage on Lewis Bay in Hyannis Park neighborhood of Yarmouth. Water views from every room. Steps to private beach. The space First floor includes a fully equipped renovated kitchen with vintage electric oven; a new half bath across from a new stacked washer/dryer; a dining room that opens to a small side ''breakfast'' porch; a living room with comfortable new RH sofa seating and a charming (non-working) fireplace; a sunroom with a TV and work from home area with desk; wifi; Netflix; a front porch ideal for coffee or cocktails while you watch the Nantucket ferry come and go. Upstairs is a new full bath and four bedrooms: king bedroom, queen bedroom, two twin bedroom, bunk bedroom with TV. The new outdoor shower is behind the house off the garage. There's a new weber grill and two large picnic tables for outdoor dining, comfortable seating on both of the porches. Air conditioning is provided by window units. A hammock, a carpetball table, and croquet set for outdoor entertainment. The house sleeps 6-8 comfortably. Linens are provided. It is professionally cleaned every week. Sorry but pets and big parties are prohibited. Guest access Hyannis Park is a gem of a neighborhood in Yarmouth. Close to great restaurants and convenient to shopping, but tucked away on Lewis Bay. It's one mile from the Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard high speed ferries, making day trips to the islands a breeze. Favorite local stops are Putter's Paradise for mini-golf and ice cream, and Baxter's Fish and Chips for beer and lobster rolls. Wake up early and run to Kalmus beach or a little further to Hyannis Port. Bring your bikes (or renting bikes is super easy!) and ride the Cape Cod Rail trail from Yarmouth all the way through Chatham to Provincetown. Play tennis at nearby Sandy Pond or Mid Cape Racquet. Head out for a day of fishing in Cape Cod Bay or Nantucket Sound, or explore the bay by kayak. Grill out or make dinner reservations ahead of time...some of our local favorites are Pizza Barbone, Pain D'Avignon, Tumi, Naked Oyster...venture a little further out to Encore in Dennis or Brewster Fish. Favorite Cape spots for kids: nearby Maritime Museum in Hyannis, Cape Cod Museum of Natural History, Hidden Hollow playground and the Adventure Park at Heritage Museum in Sandwich.
