Turtles, tidepools and great walking along the island rim! Close to Hilo, Snorkeling ,Volcano National Park, hiking , beautiful sunrises and so relaxing. It is equipped with everything a home should have so that you may kick back and enjoy. If staying 3 nights or longer you may have access to the washer and dryer on the 2nd day of your arrival. Whale watching a few steps away, when in migration, and Dolphins. Very friendly neighborhood, so if your out walking in the neighborhood, dont be surprised if someone greets you with Aloha. If you plan on doing a lot of sightseeing you will need a car, but if you are here just to relax and experience the Island, there is a bus that runs daily for $ 1 dollar all day you can even go to the West side (Kona). Moped rentals, Uber and Lyft 1/2 the price of a taxi., bike rentals,and of course Car Rentals at the Airport, book early I am hearing now its hard to find a rental car these days, all booked up. I will be happy to assist you with any information you may need. I know this side of the Island very well. I live on the property. So access to anything I might be able to help you with are just steps away. I love to meet new people from all around. I love to talk story. But Other than getting you settled in, I respect your privacy and can be like a ninja. You will see me but I will not interrupt you unless needed or you would like to talk story. And I will leave the lights on for you! We have no street lights! Beautiful Starry nights. Yes there is a public bus system that will take u around the Island for $ 1.00 Moped rentals Car rentals Bike rentals I do have a small dog who thinks he is a Doberman pincher! Once introduced he is very loving and smart. His name is Kai and his kitten Sugar on the property. They don’t intrude, but if you invite them in they will make themselves at home! Lol Dont be afraid to buy from the vendors in all the random locations, always fresh and safe. Please keep in mind that they’re are Nice grocery stores in the area, but much more expensive. Make a list of what things you might want to have on hand and go to Walmart or Target in Hilo to shop for big items when you start your Vacation here in Puna. Although Hilo is only 18 miles away it can be anywhere from 25 minutes to 1 hour to get there depending on the time of day. We only have 1 highway mostly only 2 lanes.
