At the Beach with Friends B & B - Bamboo Room

Traditional full service, County permitted bed and breakfast. No cleaning or deposit fees. COVID vaccine required. The Bamboo Room has a private sitting terrace, and ocean views across our saltwater lagoon. Wildlife! King bed, en suite bath w. tub/shower, flatscreen TV, carved door, ceiling fan, small frig.. The space Our property is 1.2 acres of seaside tropical gardens and is just steps away from Hilo's favorite black sand beach. We are convenient to the farmers market, restaurants, Volcanoes Nat'l park, waterfalls and botanical gardens. All rooms have sea views, ceiling fans, desks, en suite bathrooms, refrigerators. Wildlife present: Our natural jungle setting appeals to nature lovers and adventurous spirits. Frogs, and a variety of birds can be heard during the night and early morning hours. Most people are lulled to sleep by the natural sounds of a tropical rainforest, but if you are a light sleeper please plan to use earplugs we provide. It is possible a gecko might sneak into your room, but they are harmless, and a sign of a healthy ecosystem, and usually disapear on their own. Guest access There is a common room where we serve our guests a generous continental breakfast every morning. The common room also serves as a guest lounge, and there is access to tea service. There is free Wi-Fi, off street parking and a large tropical garden with a natural tidal lagoon. During your stay As host, I spend time with my guests at check in and at breakfast and offer advice on restaurants and planning day trips for a real local experience. As a full service B and B there are usually other guests at breakfast to socialize with and to share travel experiences. We live on site and are available for what you may need. Other things to note We provide beach towels, folding chairs, snorkel masks, umbrellas, and other amenities. We change towels daily. Although we have a dog and cat, the guest rooms are maintained pet free for guests' allergies. There is free off-street parking and wifi. If you have special dietary or other needs please let us know the day before so we can shop and meal plan to accommodate them. Eating is confined to the common room. Guests are welcome to bring take-out home and I will dispose of the trash for you to keep your room clean. Registration Details Our transient accommodation tax number is TA-039-505-7152-01
