We built a cat door for her so she can come in and out of the house as she pleases. Kosha is very social and sweet. She loves being pet and hanging out around the house with people. She is also an independent outdoor cat and as such, doesn’t like being picked up or held. When we are there, we feed her twice a day. When we’re gone our friend and neighbor checks on her and feeds her daily. Since she eats inside the house it is important to keep her dish clean to avoid ants being attracted to the cat food. If you are willing to feed Kosha during your stay, we would really appreciate it! Dry and wet cat food is provided. She needs about two scoops of dry food and half a can of wet food daily. If you are not interested, our property managers will come once a day to feed the cat. Please let us know what is the best for you. If you don’t like cats or are allergic, this isn’t the right home for your stay! The Hawaiian tradition dictated by the tropical climate is to leave your shoes outside of the house to keep insects outside. We would appreciate if you kept this tradition. We also have to be very careful with garbage and recycling for both the environment and to keep the house pest free as the house is in the middle of the jungle with a lot of wildlife. Please separate your garbage into the marked containers in the kitchen. Recycling: smaller bin ( cardboard, metal, glass) they stop recycling plastic. Garbage: larger bin everything but cargord and glass Compost goes to the garbage bin. Once full, place full garbage, recycling IN BAGS !!!! into the bins around the corner of the garage. Do not leave any garbage bags outside of bins as they will attract wild animals, pests and fire ants. Also do not throw away the compost because animals pigs, cats, rats will be attracted to it. Close garbage bins tight with covers so animals will not be able to get into them.
