This bright, clean studio is perfect for someone who is respectful of others and their spaces, mindful of their bodies and wellness, plant based & conscious of the `āina (land). Strong wi-fi available to work remotely. We are centrally located on O`ahu, 10 min from the airport, 20 min from Waikiki, 35 min from N Shore. For surf, we are surf central, in the middle. We are not a hotel and expect respect and care for our home. *** Due to Hawai`i laws, a 30-day minimum stay is required*** Your studio has a queen-sized Tempurpedic bed and a twin-size guest bed with 100% cotton sheets and towels. Private bathroom with tub comes with organic bath soap. All rooms are cleaned with eco-friendly and non-toxic cleaning products. Windows on three sides allow in ocean breezes. There is a full kitchen, island and living room available for your use (shared space), filtered water and high speed Wi-Fi internet. The kitchen must be cleaned after each use as it is shared, and we are on a tropical island where there are many bugs. There will be bugs, and we expect the utmost cleanliness to keep them under control. Washer and dryer are available between 8am and 10pm. Overhead fan in the living room is intended for your use, to be turned off when away, to save energy. There is no A/C, and the warm tropical temps may not be suitable for those who cannot tolerate heat and humidity cooled by only fans and the tradewinds. There will be no refunds, as this is being disclosed. This apartment is in a very safe, community-based and relatively quiet, drug-free neighborhood. We are not a party house. As in all of Hawai`i, the neighborhood does have the usual sounds of lawn work, neighborhood gatherings from time to time, dogs, sirens and illegal fireworks. Guests must clean up in the kitchen after every meal preparation due to the shared kitchen. If there are any meat or fish waste products, please bag tightly and place in the freezer until Monday night, then placed downstairs in the grey bin. Ants, roaches and flies are a common occurrence in this tropical paradise. Therefore, any claim for bugs that are found on site will not be valid for a refund, and it's not related to a lack of cleaning. This is being disclosed before you book. The water heater is solar powered, which means the hot water works best on hot, sunny days. When itʻs rainy and cloudy, the water may not be super hot, despite the manual override. In normal 80 degree weather, this is not an issue for most. So, please consider this when booking, as this is being disclosed. The toilets will explode if anything other than toilet paper is flushed. Hair catches are installed in the shower to prevent the drains from being clogged. All sand must be removed before entering the space. E mālama pono this space, as this is a long-term rental, the space must be cleaned, even better than when you arrived. The cleaning fee is for supplies and wear and tear. We are not a hotel. You are responsible for keeping the space clean and bug free, there is no cleaning service. ***Only non-smoking adult guests may stay with us. If you are a smoker, under 21, vaper or use illicit drugs, please stay elsewhere*** -Ample street parking. Thereʻs no parking for any guest vehicles on the premises. -Relatively quiet neighborhood with quiet hours from 10pm-8am, including the washer/drer. -Thereʻs a rustic feel to the neighborhood with many birds and dogs nearby. -Fireworks sound like gun shots or cannons are illegally exploded throughout the year, but particularly loud on the 4th of July and New Yearʻs Eve. -Shared kitchen and living room are available for your use. Safe cleaning of dishes is expected of guests. Kitchen clean-up is mandatory after every use for the next guest. All food refuse must be tightly tied in plastic bags before disposing in the trash due to bugs. Trash must be placed downstairs at least every other day due to bugs. -Please note that you will have to go up 12 steps in the stairway to get to the second floor. So, this space is not recommended for children, people with physical issues going up or down stairs, or anyone who smokes. -Trash must be disposed of in plastic bags, tied tightly, downstairs in grey bin on Monday nights. However, please remove trash from the kitchen at least every other day to keep the bug population down. -Food scraps of fish and meat must be frozen until Monday night, then put downstairs in the grey bins. -Please clean Recyclables thoroughly, and place into blue bins downstairs on Thursday nights every other week. -All trash must be in bags, tied tightly. -Please notify us of any issue that may arise, otherwise we wonʻt know it exists. -We are not a hotel and expect respect for our home as your own. Your host is a professionally-trained Broadway performer, a NYC certified Yamuna Body Rolling instructor whose goal is to better the world through conscious living. She is happy to give you tips on places to visit, private wellness sessions and to help you make the most of your trip in paradise. Suzen’s home is located in a residential neighborhood in Aiea, Hawaii, United States. This apartment is centrally located on Oahu, making it the perfect place to explore the entire island! Less than 10 minutes to Honolulu Airport, 15 minutes to downtown Honolulu, 25 minutes to Waikiki, 20 minutes to Kailua and 35 minutes to the North Shore. Residents are expected to be respectful and mindful of local culture, norms and the `āina (land). Endangered species include monk seals, green turtles, and many plants that are not to be touched. Closed, illegal trails are not to be hiked upon. You'll also be close to nearby attractions/activities: *Pearl Harbor Arizona Memorial *'Aiea He'iau Loop Trail Hike (a Hawaiian medicinal hei'au with a beginner-friendly hike and incredible views) *Aloha Stadium Swap Meet (Hawaii's outdoor market, on Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday) *Pearl Ridge Mall with a Saturday Farmer's Market *Aiea Park with a local Friday Morning Farmer's Market and running track Mature lemon and orange trees on the property may provide seasonal fresh fruits. (Please notify your host if you'd like some fruits to be picked for you.) Fragrant local flowers, Pua Keni Keni or the Perfume Flowering Tree, and Jasmine-Pikake vine also bloom nearly year-round. Desert Rose also grows in abundance here providing pink accents in the garden. LYFT and UBER are easily accessible. We also offer a 2014 Silver Prius available for rent at $45 a day, please inquire. The Bus stop is just down a small hill from the house. Note that O'ahu is better with a car. The Bus system is efficient, but, requires more travel time than a car (although everyone does get stuck in traffic in Hawai'i). All Bus passengers are required to wear a mask. And, there’s plenty of street parking nearby. The plumbing in the house is very fragile and will explode if anything other than toilet paper is used in the toilet. Sand should be removed outside with a hose. The hair catch in the drains should be used and hair removed, thank you. In-house spa amenities available (extra fee): - Private Yoga lessons with Social Distancing, Mask and Gloves Outdoors - Yamuna Body Logic/Ball Rolling Therapy - Longboard or 8ʻ Soft Top surfboard available for rent - 2014 Toyota Prius may be available for rent, please inquire
