Enjoy the magical jungle surroundings with the sounds of the waves and forest at night. The ocean with swimming ponds just 10 minutes walk away. Our check in hours are 3-8PM, we recommend arriving during daylight hours so we are easy to find and you can orient yourself on the farm. We are on 4 beautiful lush acres near the ocean, in walking distance to the water and the beautiful "Mermaid" swimming ponds. The property has lots of fruit trees, among them Mango, Soursap, Banana, Avocado, Lychee, Starfruit, Coconut, Lemon, Lime, Breadfruit and much more. Fruits are seasonal so they may not be available during certain times of the year. Kitchen with fridge and propane cook top for your use, and a nice deck to sit on with a view of the green and secluded yard among the trees. Just bring your toothbrush! We provide coffee and tea throughout your stay. Enjoy the sounds of the forest around you, watch the birds and other wildlife, and unwind. Our arrival hours are between 3-8PM daily. Fully private self contained unit . Private yard with outside sitting area and chairs. Enjoy the stars at night in your yard since we have no light pollution at all, so make sure to check out the sky at night! Please note that we have a dog who may come to visit and hang out. He is very well behaved. Our property is gated and we’ll provide you with a key upon arrival. As much or as little as you like. We will greet you upon arrival or have a key available in case we are off the property. Please communicate your arrival time as best and accurate as you can, it makes things easier for everyone, and the latest at 9AM on your day of arrival. We do not do check ins after 8PM unless in case of plane delays or emergencies. The area is several hundred acres of small farms that produce fruit and other things. Puna (the district) offers a unique glimpse at Hawaii away from the high rises and contrived Hula shows of Waikiki and the mega-resorts. Guest come to Puna to relax and get away from it all, and to see lava flows and waterfalls! You will need a rental car. The main roads are paved and the short access road to our property is a gravel road but well maintained. We are on solar power and rainwater catchment, so we ask guests to be conscious of that and conserve both power and water. We have Starlink WIFI for email and Internet. You will need a car out here as bus service is not great. A regular car is just fine, you do not need a 4 wheel drive to get to us. Since we are off the grid we ask guests to be conscious of energy and water use, while everything works like a normal home.
