Upstairs is the Primary, Palm Suite with an incredibly comfortable California King bed (note: the comforter has been updated, so it’s different from the photos, but just as beautiful) a TV, dresser, and a spacious private lanai- a great place to catch colorful sunsets! On the lanai is a high quality full-size futon for lounging or sleeping outdoors. This converts into the third bed. We have roll down panels for utmost privacy, if you choose. There is also a hammock, a table and two chairs on the lanai. Your private bathroom, complete with an outdoor shower is downstairs. Nearby is the Guest, Areca Suite. It is a bedroom and bathroom area up about a half flight of stairs, with a cozy lanai. The bedroom offers a super comfy queen bed with dresser, a chair and TV. A few steps away is the open-air bathroom which has a claw foot bathtub, towel cabinet, toilet and sink. Tucked behind the bathroom is a large private outdoor shower nestled among Areca palms, and the adjacent laundry facilities. We offer L'Occitane bath products as well as comfy, thick spa robes. There is also the kitchen/hangout bungalow, where you will find a fully equipped kitchen to make whatever delights you, with a nicely stocked kitchen, Wolgang Puck cookware, blender, coffee maker and french press with frother, full dishes and standard kitchen equipment. There is a built in couch, 2 chairs and coffee table. Additionally, you will find a surfboard table just outside this bungalow. Our grounds are professionally maintained and our yard folks may come and do their thing during your stay. They notify us the night before, and we will of course let you know. We want to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and have taken care of most, if not all, of the details. Guest access The entire place is yours to enjoy! Other things to note Our regular minimum stay is four nights, Regretfully, we are unable to accept shorter stays. This property is very open and delightful. The fresh breezes blow all around. We have lots of wildlife sightings - including golden finches, cardinals, owls, hawks, and the smaller things like geckos and coqui frogs on our property. We find their symphony to be quite delightful. Additionally, there may be dolphins, and seasonal humpback whales at the nearby beaches. Nature is all around you! We are located on the Kalapana Coast in the Puna district of Hawaii Island, also known as the Big Island. We are on the windward side of the island, about 45 mins to an hour from Hilo, and 20 minutes from Pahoa, an off-the-beaten-track traveler favorite. This location is rural, lush and tropical which makes it so beautiful. The white sand beaches, filled with tourists and big hotels are on the other side of the island, about a two hour drive away. Honolulu and Waikiki are on the island of O'ahu. While our place can accommodate 6 people, it is really intended for families. 3 couples just doesn’t work, as it’s not exactly party central. It’s perfect for families, two couples, and a grandparent or two, that sort of thing. Thanks for understanding. Please be advised there are stairs into each of the bungalows. NOTE: with Airbnb’s new all inclusive pricing policy, we adjusted our rates to include our required tax obligation of 17.75%. Our property is very special to us, and we do read reviews. I will reach out with questions to get an idea if our place is a good fit for you. After all, I want you enjoy your stay! Thanks so much!! Registration Details 011 322 368001
