It’s a located in a quiet, peaceful setting— a perfect place to relax, unwind and recharge. The space Welcome to our Cape Cod cottage, a timeless family retreat located in the picturesque community of Truro, MA. Tucked away at the end of a long driveway and surrounded by the National Seashore, this peaceful, secluded getaway is just a 1/4-mile walk to Longnook Beach, one of the Cape’s most stunning—famous for its dramatic dunes and expansive ocean vistas. This is a classic, comfortable Cape cottage, perfect for families or small groups of friends looking to unwind and unplug. It’s not fancy—but it’s full of character, charm, and all the essentials for a relaxing beach vacation. There are 3 bedrooms, one and-a-half bathrooms, an outdoor shower, plus a fully equipped kitchen with pots, pans, dining ware, lobster tools, and more! There’s a working fireplace for cool evenings, plus books and assorted games for family nights. There also a spacious yard with a charcoal grill—perfect for outdoor meals or evening stargazing. You can even hear the waves in the distance. We also recently added high-speed internet. The cottage is secluded and quiet—you will awaken to the sound of birds—but you're just minutes from some of the Cape’s best activities, including: • Swimming in the ocean, bay and freshwater ponds • Activities like whale watching, fishing, kayaking and mini golf • An array of dining options, along with people watching in Provincetown and the Wellfleet Drive-In (one of few old-time remaining drive-ins in the country) • And yes, we’re happy to share tips for where to get the best lobster, oysters and more! A few notes: • There is no washer/dryer on-site; though there are local laundromats nearby; along with clotheslines • Guests should bring their own linens and towels (we can provide them at a small extra charge, if needed) • The house is not ideal for infants & toddlers, but fine for children and families • We request Saturday-to-Saturday bookings during peak summer season • This is a peaceful, family cottage—not a luxury rental. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do! We have been renting the house for over a decade and we love helping guests make the most of their stay. We're happy to answer questions and offer recommendations so you can relax and enjoy the magic of the Outer Cape. Guest access We rent out the whole house when we aren't there, so there is open access to everything, except for one room we use for storage and an outdoor shed. Other things to note A few notes: - We will provide basics like paper towels, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and kitchen provisions, dishes, pots, pans, and spices and whatnot. - There is no washer/dryer on-site; though there are local laundromats nearby; along with clotheslines for bathing suits and towels. - Guests should bring their own linens and towels; we can provide them at a small extra charge, if needed. - The house is not ideal for infants & toddlers, but fine for children and families. - We request Saturday-to-Saturday bookings during the peak summer season. - We can help you get a beach permit for parking at local beaches in Truro. You can also organize a beach cookout with a permit. - We ask that you clean the house before you depart and dispose of your garbage when you leave. We can help you access the local transfer station if needed. - We are happy to share tips and advice, including where to get the best lobster, to help ensure you have a great stay!
